No news of any funny goings on like MotoGP, that I have heard. Last year on the National circuit it was Irwin * 2 making the news for winning races & 2nd places & knocking Brookes for six into the barriers. This year Brookes hasnt been at the front and neither have Irwin * 2. O'Halloran's best 3 from 6 races were a 2nd and 2 3rds. I expect that to change. Iddon got 7 more points at Donington than O-Halloran and needs more of that to reel the Ozzie back in. Forecast looks ok for the weekend. www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcrh897fd#?nearestTo=Donington%20Park%20(Leicestershire)&date=2021-08-12

Raining! Well it was, looks like it might dry up now. Stk1000 had a dry line at the end.

Just caught up with todays racing at Donington. R2 was a bumpy ride for a lot of riders giving and receiving. A Irwin back to form. R3 as a good win for Mackenzie, it was tight at the end but I think he was 3 or 4s ahead before the safety car came out with a couple of laps to go. A bit of a guess on tyres for some, which didnt work out well.

Race 2 was mental. Probably the best I've seen in years. When the safety car came out 2 laps to go and Taz a couple of seconds in front i felt sure that J O'H was going to mug him for the win but turns out he was the mugee. And by the unlikely figure of Brad Rae. Justice i thought. Shakey tried to justify Andrew Irvine's mid corner assault by saying he expected Iddon to run wide so apparently it was ok to smash into him. Whitham gave a more balanced explanation. To be fair though Hicky did the same back to Irvine twice then Skinner took out Glen. It really was a brutal race. Race 3 was a tyre choice lottery and Bridewell had the biggest gonads. Brookes 4th!!!!!!

To be fair though Hicky did the same back to Irvine twice Whitham & Iddon I agreed with, Shakey not so much. As the 2 said, Irwin was over the white line on the inside then hit Iddon whilst he was at full lean on the racing line. Its no good saying he expected Iddon to go wide and accelerate into him when he didnt. What had A. Irwine done to Hicky previously? It did look like he was paying him back for something. Or has Hicky had a resurgence in form and is more fired up? I cant recall him putting dodgy passes like that in the past.

So BSB is feral according to Hickman.

It's a lot closer now than ever i reckon and that's with electronic aids removed. So much for the predicted carnage. I always watch BSB before motogp or WSB and think most of the time the racing is better

Bet ya Higgs was craping it, in case he had to penalise Hicky for some well suspect moves on AI. "There goes me BJ tonight" he's thinking.

Glen Irwin was ranting about Iddon's on track behaviour but i never caught that.Must have been some old pro am style shenanigans going on. Think the waggy finger will be out before Cadwell. Can't afford to fire it into the scenery there.
