'Eventful' so far.
I'll tell you what, if you didn't get a bit emotional watching Cav with that win, you have no soul. I love that it still means so much to him.

I'm well out of touch. Thought he hadn't got a ride this year. Need to watch the highlights later

I cannot believe how much that cunt collapsed in the last 600 metres or whatever, i was thinking he's knackered but he'll still make it.

Fantastic. It would be amazing if he could take the outright total of stage wins on the final day. He could then retire a very happy chap.
The locals wouldn't chuck piss at him. They know he loves the Tour as much as anyone.

Yeah, the don't mind a Brit stage winner but don't like a Brit tour winner. Or maybe it's just Froome they don't like.

Yeah, the don't mind a Brit stage winner but don't like a Brit tour winner. Or maybe it's just Froome they don't like. I think it’s a combo of a Brit run Team SKY and Brit winner dominance they didn’t like, and I also believe that the TdF and UCI would prefer that SKY hadn’t been so dominant (unless they had a French no1 rider in the team)…and there was also some dubious shit going on when Wiggins was riding for them which didn’t ingratiate them with the fans. But the irony is that those same cycling fans who hated SKY/Froome still supported winning riders who had been caught doping in the past….cherry picking to suit your own narrative….

Looking forwards especially to the final two proper stages as i know these areas quite well, Landes forest will be easy on the eye but Saint Emilion will well and truly show France for the beautiful country it is, the vineyard setting is glorious.

Cav again. 1 off equally Ed with a decent number of sprint finishes left and most of his competitors gone.

Fantastic. After the first last week Gary Imlach said "when he gets one, more normally follow". He's 'on it' and no mistake.

I've not followed much this year, but today I see they are going along the top of the Ardeche Gorge, Saint Martin to Vallon Pont d'Arc. img.aso.fr/core_app/img-cycling-tdf-jpg/12/27022/0:0,1200:1697-960-0-90/6ad0d I used to work as a canoe instructor there in 1982/83. Happy days. I went along that road they are using today a few years ago on my way to Mugello. The Ardeche was still the same as it was, still unspoilt.

Thats some achievement. I think these records are harder to beat these days as the general standard is better.
