With only 25% of the money that would have gone into that Welsh white elephant you could turn Donny into a fabulous facility. Maybe Palmer has his eyes on Motogp.

Ignoring the obvious run off improvements needed to bring Donington up to MotoGP requirements, the toilets need to be ripped up and replaced;they are gupping!

From experience, they are 5 star lux compared to the Mallory ones.

Unless I'm easy to please I've never fully understood the issues over Doningtons bogs, they've always seemed ok. I'm more concerned about them leasing the exhibition centre to an auction company.

Redgate is a good place to watch but there isnt a lot of room. A long time ago they put a temporary grandstand there and it improved the viewing a lot.

Based on the trajectory of the bikes there are places where you could get spectators really close if you opened up the inside of the circuit with a decent tunnel. You could pretty much put a full length grandstand from Redgate to Hollywood on the inside, same with Mcleans to Coppice

Coppice is a good place to watch...You get to hear them light up the rear tyre (or light up the TC as the case may be...)

Do you know what the worst thing about World and British Superbikes is? James "Kawasarki" Haydon. He adds nothing to the presentation team. Also, it's Kawasaki you Cock Womble: no "r"!...
... unless the Japanese pronounce the "r", in which Haydon is a geniu...? Nah, he's still a cock!

One of the nice things about Donington is being able to spread out on a nice bit of grass banking at a lot of the circuit, but at Coppice there isnt a big area so would greatly benefit. Its like Misano along the back straights, now they have a massive grandstand.

Improvements by MSV underway. www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2018/A%20New%20Look%20for%20Donington%20Park%20Ahead%20of%20WorldSBK%202018 Following its acquisition by MotorSport Vision Group (MSV) earlier in 2017, Donington Park circuit is set for a major transformation this winter, with improvements expected to be completed in time for the WorldSBK UK Round in May. Work has already commenced with plans to upgrade the facility for both spectators and participants alike, as well as raising the circuit’s spectator capacity, meaning more British fans will be able to experience and enjoy WorldSBK live at the iconic British venue. “We look forward to launching Donington Park's 2018 season with vastly-improved facilities for all our customers, whether they are spectators, competitors or track day participants,” said Giles Butterfield, Group Operations Manager at MSV. “The works that are already underway at Donington Park will ensure this great circuit is brought in line with our other venues across the UK.” One of the biggest changes to the circuit will be the development of a new restaurant, bar and café in the heart of the venue as well as a new circuit office that will sit adjacent to the Formula E complex overlooking the paddock at its entrance. A new grandstand will be erected on the outside of Hollywood corner, offering unbroken views stretching from before Redgate corner all the way through the Craner Curves and beyond, through Starkeys and Schwantz Curve. As well as circuit rebranding, the existing paddock entrance will become the circuit's main entrance. Main pedestrian and vehicle access in that area will be resurfaced with improvements also extending to the road tunnel between McLeans and Coppice, enabling easier access to the centre of the circuit, especially for campers. Other renovations include laying a hard surface on Paddock 3 for the first time, with power and water being added later in 2018. Existing toilet blocks in the busiest spectator areas will be completely demolished and replaced with larger, more modern facilities including capability for increased capacity, improved baby changing facilities and disabled access.

Haydon gets the Kawasaki pronunciation from old riders like Parrish. Most older biker guys pronounced it that way I recall? Strange that he picked it up and run with it though. I always corrected them and in my best Essex told them is was Kawazakeeeeee. Fuckers.
