Conservative Islam is always a dilemma for many on the Left when it comes to women’s and lgbtq rights. You can’t agree with it because it goes against what you believe(rightly IMO) but you can’t criticise it because you’d be called Islamaphobic (wrongly)...but it’s fair criticism as far as I’m concerned. Those who criticise Christians with have similar beliefs don’t run the risk of being called and “.....ist “ or “....phobic”.
