Ultimately, for equality, there has to be one fitness standard. The level of the tests should be dictated by the tasks that the soldiers have to complete whilst on operations and nothing else. Gender is a moot point.
The test is a known factor so people should just get off their cheeks and train for it.
I don't want to be the old duffer who goes on about the old days, but in training ('87) the absolute bare minimum was the Basic Fitness Test (BFT) which was a mile and a half in boots in ten and a half minutes.
I must admit that I was surprised that the test is 2 miles in 21 minutes. I could still do that at 50.

When they mention "women" they mean "birthing people", right?.....otherwise it's not inclusive to Trans women. Gotta be careful with your language nowadays, or the woke mob will eat you up and spit you out.

Well if transwomen can't run 2 miles in 21 that's even worse.
I don't get all that shit because one minute they are 'women' but then they constantly have to remind us they actually aren't by using 'trans'. This said it is generally utterly obvious and like sticking a Fireblade fairing on an XR650 and pretending it's a sportsbike.

I was on another forum that is full of yanks and they were all laughing at the article. Those boys are lot more into going on military.com for all manner of reasons. One of them seems to be there's a lot more ex squaddies per head I guess over there. The other is probably they like guns and dreaming of using them. As I've mentioned before there seems a section of the American public that is just waiting for law and order to break down so they can open the gun cabinet.
