Loris Baz looks a tad too big for his Ducati;

I caught up with all the races so far in MotoAmerica yesterday and Gagne is walking it with ease. The Ducati that Baz is on (supposed to be a factory bike that the team purchased direct from Ducati) looks slow to me. Any time he gets in the slipstream of a Yamaha or Suzuki, he can barely maintain the tow. Does all his passes on the brakes. The top five riders in the series look like they could hang in BSB and be competitive. Outside the top five though the level of the riders drops off alarmingly. Hector Barbera is out there riding a BMW and he is a top 6-8 rider who sometimes pushes into the top 5. We all saw how he did in BSB last year on the Rich energy BMW. He usually finished just in the points on most occasions but a long way back from the front runners. The riders finishing behind Barbera wouldn't even qualify in British superstock 1000. Gagne is lapping riders within five laps. The level of the bikes and teams at the front is very high though. Every bit as professional as the top BSB teams. The series just needs about five or six ex WSB guys and a few locals to step up and it will be every bit as exciting as BSB.

Just caught the end of race 2 in supersport. The lad leading the series by a mile is racing a GSXR600!
