So sang rapper KRS-One almost 30 years ago but I can reveal today that the entire concept of the song was predicated on a lie because, as a black American gentleman, the only sound of da police that he would hear would be BLAM BLAM BLAM, kerchick BLAM, kerchick BLAM BLAM BLAM! Probably for committing a heinous parking offence or, typically, just being black in public. Or in his own home. Unarmed to the teeth.
This is because, as everyone now knows, American police just love popping caps into black ass (arse), and up until now, they've not had to explain their hobby to a judge.
To be fair, some American cops have recently attempted to demonstrate that they're not racist by offing some honkies but even they have conceded that they just prefer the challenge of a target that's harder to spot at night.
Will this change anything in America? Will it fuck but at least we can hope that killy cop Derek Chauvin spends the next 40 years with a large black cell mate with an unnatural fondness for white ass (arse).

Although I share your sentiment, KR's song was more of an attack on black people "selling out" and becoming cops (joining the enemy in effect) just as a means to earn a living and thus turning black against black, than a comment on police oppression in general.
Brilliant tune in any case. (Sorry I know the thread isn't really about the song)

Blacks are still overwhelming killed by other blacks. 7 got killed this weekend in Chicago alone. If I were black I'd be scared of black people. The idea of blacks being scared of white violence is hilarious.

I liked the song as a kid but KRS-One is a total bellend. Even Tim Westwood had to put him in his place at one point.

The idea of Tim Westwood putting anyone in their place is surely laughable.

The idea of blacks being scared of white violence is hilarious. Cool story bro, why not start a thread about it? This one's about systemic racism within the American police system and why police in America have historically been able to commit murder without any kind of accountability. Having said that, your entirely expected post just scored a full house on my racism bingo card.

The idea of Tim Westwood putting anyone in their place is surely laughable. Which is exactly the point I'm making. But he did do it. Lawrence was made to look a fool by an embarrassing idiot.

No diggity, no doubt And without wanting to add any fuel to Mekon's (KKK lynch mob inspired) fire, wasn't Timmy (as we B-Boys like to call him) the victim of Black on White crime when he got shot?

He was. I can't remember the exact facts (plus I'm too lazy to Google them) but I think it was down to an associate upsetting a rival drug gang at a concert they were all at. I could be wrong though. I still think at some point Westwood will be outed as another ex Radio 1 DJ up to no good whilst on BBC premises.

I meant more along the lines of having guests in the studio doing hard drugs and booze whilst a broadcast is going on. Some of his guests were very young. All funded by the licence fee.
