No need for any sad woke references. This is the most civilised country on earth and we concede no moral high ground.
On one hand, a child was duped with chums to follow the most ridiculous of paths. Her friends and three children snuffed it probably in grim circumstances. Any girl on your street would get your sympathy having gone through similar. However, on the other hand, she chose to go to engage in activities known to be intentionally harmful to the country that homed her.
On balance, and its not close, the severity of her actions outweighs her particular circumstances. The door is closed. I gave her my time to consider this which is not what she would have had elsewhere.
If we can't make an example of her, we might as well not bother.
Moral of the story, tone down religious beliefs.

I was of the opinion that she should be left to her own devices but I think she should be brought back to the UK to face the consequences. There are hundreds who went to IS and they have already returned to the UK...
We (the UK, US and allies) have created one huge shitstorm since the first Iraq War in the 90’s....pointless regime change wars that killed millions of innocent people and it’s still going on now...Syria being the current favourite.
If we’re going to bring race into it, the Rotherham grooming scandal was racist to the core. Young, white girls deliberately targeted and groomed by mainly Pakistani men and covered up by authorities...if thats not racist then I give up. Shamima Begum was groomed by people of her own race and religion....the only similarity is that grooming occurred in both cases.
