Wes Cooley, American Superbike champ in the Lawson / Spencer era, seemed to be ace on the big proddie things but less so on the strokers.

Wes Cooley, American Superbike champ in the Lawson / Spencer era, seemed to be ace on the big proddie things but less so on the strokers. Not saying that racing bikes these days is easy, but I'm always full of admiration for people like Cooley who essentially raced massive bendy dinosaurs which must have handled like pigs, regardless of how much Yoshimura breathed on them, they were just never designed with racing in mind. Hats off and Rest in Peace.

Dean Stockwell. Featured in many David Lynch movies but this scene in Blue Velvet was pretty memorable.

FW de Klerk.
Freed Mandela and instrumental in removing apartheid. That's a decent CV

Just a week ago whilst washing my crotch in the shower, I was pondering how many members of The Monkees were still alive.
Just heard on the wireless that Mike Nesmith has just left the building.
I can't help but feel partially responsible.

Yup, the man who made Benny hats cool. RIP Mike. And yesterday, the patron saint of bassists Robbie Shakespear. Gone to roll a fat one with Bob. RIP Man!

And yesterday, the patron saint of bassists Robbie Shakespear. Gone to roll a fat one with Bob. RIP Man! Perhaps his greatest legacy is his eternal place in Glaswegian rhyming slang: "I'm fucking desperate for a Sly and Robbie." See also Greyfriar's Bobby.

Looking forward to the pre-recorded Queen's Speech tomorrow. Because she's already "entered a new phase". Can't find the original tweet soz.
