I can't talk as I saw Kiss in 2019 but I don't get this whole seeing geriatrics live thing. I'm guessing if you saw the Rolling Stones in the 60s then you saw The Rolling Stones. If you see them now you're seeing some rich old cunts phone it in and it doesn't remotely mean the same thing as it did in the 60s. It's not new, it's not exciting it doesn't bring in a new generation of change or anything.

Totally agree on watching old cunts, particularly old cunts that haven't released a decent tune in 40 years and as I've mentioned before, Keith Richards' fingers have been fucked with arthritis for over 10 years. One of directors at my work was on holiday in the Caribbean and his flight was delayed so him and his missus got put up in a hotel on the island and ended up having dinner with Roger Daltrey who was similarly delayed (I've seen the photos, that much is definitely true). Anyway, Daltrey was freely talking about his career and how he never took drugs when every other cunt was getting royally mangled when he got absolutely ripped into the Stones for being money grubbing frauds and how Richards was fucked with arthritis and had been miming for over a decade. I happened to sit next to this director at one Xmas do a few years ago and he told me this and showed me the photies of him and Daltrey. Few years later and the Stones are headlining Glastonbury. I watched it on TV and examined Richards' playing when the camera closed in. His hand was sliding up and down the fretboard no problem but his fucking fingers never changed shape for the entire 2 hour set. There's no fucking way he could have been dishing out 'licks'. I saw this as corroborative evidence so am quite confident in my claim. |

It’s one thing miming when everybody knows you’re doing it (a la Top of the Pops etc), it another when you sing over a backing track pretending it’s pure “live”, whilst throwing in a bit of autotune for good measure. |

RIP Boet Van Dulmen, winner of the 79 Finnish GP on a private RG 500 Suzuki, only Wil Hartog left from the legendary Dutch trio now. I assumed he died of an illness but read he was killed in a cycling collision with a van. He was 73. Not many privateers won gp's but he was brilliant in the wet which levelled the field in an era when works riders had the best bikes and tyres. RIP |
