Yesterday (Friday) was my last day of holiday before starting my new job next week, and it was a glorious day, so I decided to go to the mountain roads where the biker cafe is. At weekends it is packed with bikes (and cops) but we forget that these places became famous with bikers for their roads which you really can't enjoy at the wekends. It was fucking ace! Hardly any traffic, clear blue skies, no police. Best day on my bike that I can remember in a long time. I even had a bit of "play time" with a guy In a 350Z, he was going well on a really twisty road, not holding me up at all, but he had the rear end step out coming out of a curve and he bottled it and let me past. Then I found this view point dedicated to Angel Nieto! Didn't even know it existed!

Lovely. It is miserable here in overcast and cold Southend. Jealous.

That's a great escape. Why not ride your other bike up there for a contrast? no66 would race you down on his 'board.

Sorry! It does come across as gloating a bit! But considering I've had that bike for over 3 years and really only ridden to work and back!
No fucking way I'm riding up there on my mountain bike! that's bout a 400m climb!

Those photos are taken at about 1300m!

Looks great Clipper. I rode down to Jerez from Santander in 2007 hoping to dart in and out of the countryside off the main road but whilst the main roads in the valley was dry the mountains were under cloud and rain. Picos had snow on them so that was out as well.
