Fuck me, went out to Tan Hill and all manner of surrounding areas with my mate today and it was deeply unpleasant.
He's got a BMW 1300S and I've got a 44hp RC390. I couldn't keep up in any meaningful way at all. I remember getting the better of him around Cadwell when he had F800S and I had the ZX6R years ago and I'm a bit rusty still as I don't ride enough but he's not massively better than me at riding if at all.
Every time he overtook a load of cars with ease I was having to pull twat moves to keep up and the only time I could pull any time back was if there was a lot of braking to be done. Cornering speeds weren't really any different with my pogo suspension. When I had the VFR I was having no problems at all going a lot faster. We'd come out of a 60 bend and he'll nail it and be doing 100 by the time I was doing 75. I'd have to race him around 3 sisters to get any sort of equity. In the real world size matters!
SMALL A2 BIKES ARE SHIT. Amazing how much difference there is to something like CBR400 which is MILES faster.
I think he was being more a cunt today because we went cycling yesterday and I took him on a hill route where his 20kg extra weight meant I was dropping him every climb. Maybe small bikes are ok and my mate is a cunt?
