Is it just me or are Banzai members getting harder to please. The racing at the weekend was excellent, the first race was compelling, what an ending. Second race we had Marco winning his 1st race since coming back, 100th Italian to win in WSB, on a Ducati, in Italy, how good was that? I'll admit Kawasaki and Ducati are dominating but i particularly love watching Chas wringing the neck and taking his Duke to the absolute max, it's a joy to behold. History will tell us that most world championships throughout the years are between two manufacturers, even the so called glory years of the Foggy era, Hailwood era was dominated by only two factories. I just enjoy good racing. Simple.

I swore this year I was not going to pay for coverage again (the only way I know to see the races on a timely basis) and when race 1 rolled around the credit card rolled out too - but I often skim through the race, looking for major changes in the race order. The series just feels lackluster to me and I can't explain it. Maybe I'm just old and grumpy...

In the early days, it was full of characters and needle between riders and, IMO, far less polished; it was rough and ready. A talented rider with a reasonable bike, straight out of the showroom, would be in with a chance of winning, plus wildcards from the domestic scene could easily upset the apple cart...
... again, without intending to sound like a broken record, a unification of the Superbike rules around the world would help immensely.

This. No brainer for me.
Pantah, for me the problem is that WSB is bordering on irrelevant nowdays. Used to be the four-stroke championship until 2002. If the bikes are meant to be like roadbikes why is it so much more advanced than Superstock? I just think it has an identity crisis. Get the national championship wildcards in there and don't try and compete with GP's.

I get the identity crisis with the rule book Mysterio, my point was that on a weekend when the racing was excellent i was still seeing negative comments. Just a few weeks ago in Assen we had a verbal scrap in park ferme between CD and JR if people like a bit of spice. I admit that there is room for improvement but imo it's still a watchable series most of the time.

I watched race 1 and thought it was good, Misano is a decent track with a few passing places. You can pretty much guess which teams are going to be up front but at least not many of the races are runaways.

Its become a BSB premier league, the consistently competitive foreigners are on the slide from MotoGP. I wonder if its because the natural route for rising foreign stars is in the Moto GP paddock
