So tedious. Didn't even need to look to guess it'd be factory ducati and Kawasaki up there. Kawasaki are a bunch of cunts if all they want to be is be king of shrinking pond that nobody will be even looking at if it carries on like this. Fuck off to motogp if you want a real challenge that means something you (formerly) cheating bastards.

One of the disappointments with the revised race schedule is we dont get to see STK1000 on the TV. We used to be able to watch it before WSB R1. Now as its after WSB R2 its forgotten about. From a TV viewpoint, I'd be in favour of scrapping WSB as it is and make them all ride STK1000. In BSB Cooper is winning the series on a Suzuki. BMW, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Aprilia and Ducati all have podiums across the Euro STK1000 & British STK1000. I'd love to hear Sykes have a moan about that, I'm sure he has a dreary monologue prepared for the standard ECU rule.

Well that was eventful race one. Hope Chaz is okay, if he's off to hospital that might rule him out of race two.

Yeah, Chaz took quite a hit. He did get up straight away and try to pick the bike up before thinking better of it, so hopefully not too serious. As Niall MacKenzie mentioned on TV, Davies and Melandri both fell off as they have to ride on the limit. As Paul Denning amusingly pointed out on TV just, VD Mark gets the Pirelli award for the fastest lap of the race. The Yamaha team must all have been gutted and annoyed about that crash if it was a repeat of Rea's tyre off the rim issue. Its not often they get to lead and potentially win a race recently.

I heard Mac say that Phil and whilst MacKenzie knows more than I ever will I, I didn't fully agree with that. Melandri was under no pressure from 4th place and didn't really have a chance of catching the two in front. Melandri made a mistake that's it, I honestly believe he's well past his best. Same with Davies, he may be on the limit but it's still rider error with 3 corners to go. Davies does seem to be able to be forced into an mistake when pushed. The motorcycle gods clearly don't want anyone but Kawasaki or Ducati win a race. Where did VDM pull that pace from? Don't agree with all this business about taking a crashed bike into the pits, don't think someone's thought that through completely. Hope it doesn't come into GP's.

If they crash in pratise or qualifying they have to pit to have the bike checked over. In the race they can remount and carry on. Paul Denning said he thought the R1 had better pace as the track is relatively slippy.

Nice words from Rea post race...can't be nice for a racer to hit another.

Someone tweeted them after the race to tell them. The rule was a new one to me as well.

There are two good things about seeing Marc O'melendri winning a race; 1) it means that there is a new winner in the mix and 2) we get to see Mrs M jumping up and down with joy

Great result for the Paddy racer....still a one horse race though....what is it now, 6 rounds to go?..(12 races)??....can't see Rea slipping up tbh...best rider on best bike in best team with most money being spent. Sykes isn't going to beat JR regularly and he knows he was gifted race 1 at the weekend.
