Great debut from the all new Fireblade. A & Gl Irwin were consistent at the test. Once Brookes got to the front I thought that would be that, but some fine passes from the brothers soon scuppered that.

Good but slightly disappointed with the retirements of some key figures

BSB R3. I was thinking how good & tidy Andrew Irwin was looking this weekend without having the distraction of having to punt Redding off this year.......then that happened.
This is going to be a good season I reckon. Happy for Bridewell to get that win.

Irwin's view in the podium interview was he was passed and Brookes tried to close the door too late. Looked to me like he dived up the inside having got better drive and Brookes tried to pick it up when he saw him but had his handlebar swiped. Didn't leave him any chance of staying up. Brookes was quite diplomatic in that interview afterwards. There have been a few tight but clean passes by various riders like the ones at Scwantz' and Hollywood this weekend which had the wow factor, but when it goes wrong it goes wrong big time.

Forgot Irwin was the scourge of BSB last year. Needs to reel it in a tad , that move could have waited for another corner I reckon. Kept expecting Bridewell to breakdown or something as luck is often not with him.
I also predict Kyle Ryde will suffer in BSB because he's got a stupid haircut. He looks like he's in Dumb and Dumber.

A Irwin DSQ'd. Thats going to send the FB BSB page followers into a frenzy seeing as most thought that because Brookes had skittled some riders at Mallory Park a long time ago its ok for someone to take him out.
Cant remember if he was DSQ'd for his actions last year.

Yeah the Brookes incident 11 years ago is probably still annoying Walker fans.

Fuck's sake.
BSB was brilliant today. That DQ is utter bollocks.

I thought Andy Irwin rode three fantastic races. That DQ was bullshit. I'm hardly a big Andy Irwin fan but there was nothing wrong with what he did. If anything, Brookes was at fault but to me it was just good hard racing. Glad Brookes walked away from it. Both have been guilty of reckless moves in the past but I can't help feeling that race results should stand regardless. As long as no cheating was afoot.

Correct decision imo. The reaction from his team when it happened tells you all you need to know. They knew it was a dangerous move and he could face disqualification. That is a seriously fast piece of track and Brookes was lucky to walk away. I enjoyed the close racing but Andrew Irwin is borderline and wasn’t surprised he was involved in an “incident “. He gave away his mentality after one of the earlier races after he went underneath Glen on the last lap at Coppice and post race said anyone else but his brother he’d have pushed on to the grass. Sounds like Michael Dunlop at his cuntiest. Brookes was very diplomatic i thought. Scott Redding would have tore his head off. The cunts got plenty of previous.

Don't forget Graeme....
My mate who races claims he shouldn't even be in BSB as he's not raced tarmac to a level to be allowed a licence to race in a national series straight away. Fuck knows. Anyone else more up on the rules about what you have to do race at BSB level?

The other brother has been racing in SuperStock 1000 since 2019.

Oh well. Must have the barnacle commentary that fooled him. He did make it sound like he'd just popped off a crosser the day before.

The cunts got plenty of previous. They mentioned points on license in 1 announcement I read. The points on license has been dropped from MotoGP, I think, I thought it was the same with BSB but seems not. Its a 12 month rolling total. After the Cadwell Redding crash he started the next from the back of the grid. At Oulton he got a race ban for an infringement with a marshal, so presumably more points there. He now starts the next race from the back of the grid. I dont think penalty points categorically gives decisions like giving out a DSQ rather than a time penalty, it doesn't say if you have points and knock someone off you get a DSQ. But if you have previous recent form its surely going to affect a decision like this. www.msvracing.com/media/4476/2020-mcrcb-yearbook-120320.pdf
