Was going to buy a rc390 but the guy put open to offers on it and then would only take 50 off and wants 3200 and I said 2900 is max i'll pay for a private sale. He's put akropovic exhaust on and sparkly bits and claimed he's put £1000 into it.
My counter argument is I don't need something with £1000 spent on it to add 1-2hp and he should take the shite off, sell it and I'd buy it as a standard bike as that's all I want.
The trouble with these A2 bikes is wankers mess with them and expect the money back. I'm taking my scorpion and luggage off the vfr before I sell it.

They offer no real monetary value. Never have done. They may well influence a sale if the intended buyer was planning to fit those parts anyway. But no, they don't jack up the price by what they cost.

It depends on the bike. If you're buying a tourer for example, then a fuck tonne of luggage, heated grips, etc might add a bit of value if they're factory parts fitted when new but, as Droog says, nowhere near the new cost of the accessories. In a lot of cases a bike will be devalued by accessories that leave in non-original condition and a questionable state of tuning. He's almost certainly going to get more value by removing the bits and selling them separately. Cunts can have a very odd concept of what their shit is worth and as a buyer you need to be prepared to just walk away.
