Yesterday, I bumped into a lady I haven't seen for 12 years; the drift of our conversation quite quickly turned to people in our mutual circle of friends who have since died.

Talking about the weather, how often you go to the toilet to piss, aches and pains, being tired and various other ailments are all par for the course now for me. How much sleep I have had is another.

Aches and pains take longer to pass, I've had neck issues over the years too (hernia C5) and last September I was diagnosed with a bulging disc in C6 which resulted in nerve impeachment on the left side (shooting pains down my forearm and pins n needles in the hand). My left arm lost strength and shrunk!.
Months of physio and exercising and I have strength back in my left arm, thankfully. But it's an ongoing process, have to keep up the exercises and stretching for my posture. Doesn't help having a desk job all my adult life...kills your posture.
Aah the joys of getting older!!.

I used to get up with the alarm or when I woke. Now it’s when I need a fucking piss. Not good.

When you have to resist the temptation to tell people in their 30s to grow up. That said, they haven't got a fucking clue have they?

I can't get away with one shite any more. I do a shite, wipe my arse, get up, flush and then I need another shite. The worst it's been so far was 4 in a row but I've had quite a few hat tricks.

Think that’s borderline contact your local gp mr noodle. Could be you’re not giving the shite the time it deserves and nipping too. Or maybe you’re distracted. Total concentration works wonders. Just saying likes.

I feel your pain! Literally. I have discal hernia between C6 and C7 which pinches the nerve to my left arm (affects the shoulder more than the arm itself). Last time it got really bad was Christmas 2017 and I had to have months of physio. Now it's not so bad, hardly any pain but restricted movement in my left arm (cant lift the arm much above my head, but it doesn't really affect my day to day life, I never changed light bulbs with my left hand anyway). What I'm more worried about (to not say shitting myself) is the surgery required to correct it. My doctor says it's not a case of "if" but "when" they have to operate. I am not looking forward to spinal surgery.

That Louis C K stand up joke about just being sat down and realising he needs to wipe his arse!
As above...Aches and pains bought on by trying to keep fit through football or basketball. The latter has absolutely cunted my knees. Ive clearly been lucky with the bike crashed Ive had, as I only have an achey wrist every now and then from a whopper I had a few years ago

Having said that, I'll see if there's anything on YouTube.

Along with single Malt whisky and The Jesus & Mary Chain, I reckon the word 'jobbie' is the greatest thing to come out of Scotland.
And maybe Gordon Strachan.
And Gary Mcallister.

I had a disc replacement for the C5 hernia a few years back...total success..they go in through your throat (which was a bit worrying to be told!), but I'm glad I had it done.
