Euro's being canned has to happen if the FA want the EPL an EFL to compete the leagues...As a Leeds fan, I can categorically state that the Euros can go fuck themselves so long as the Leagues are completed.

Also, with Arteta testing positive, surely the English FA need to consider postponement this weekend? Hope yooz roger the sheep shaggers!! There'll be nae rogering tonight. It's aff! Declare the league now. Unfortunately there might not be a UEFA cup next season for us to be pumped out of at the first qualifying round by a team of Welsh posties and butchers. |

So, emdy been watching the games sans fans? I've not been arsed although I wouldn't normally watch English football as I feel that the standard just isn't there.
Scottish fitba' is ripping itself apart with Hearts managing to pull off the quite astonishing feat of being bigger cunts than Rangers.

With an 18 year old lad in the house, not watching football was not going to happen. Its been a welcome distraction in truth though. We prefer the non fake noise versions.
The BHA/Arse game had it all. Three invaluable points potentially when none looked likely for a while.

Weirdly I prefer the fake crowd noise to the ghostly silence. It’s all a bit shit but at least it’s a bit of sport to watch. It would be good if the refs were mic’d up and we got to hear all the swearing.
I think they should stop the kneel. First round of matches, point made clear. It’s going to be like clap for nhs, when does it stop.

My thoughts are that this has been taken as far as it has been (names replaced on shirts and kneeling) to ram home to the nobheads that racism in sport is not on. Maybe if the 'football lads' had not gone on statue protection duties this would have been a bit softer. |

We've fallen out now and it's not unrelated. He would say things like "he's no very fast for a darkie" and then wait for my reaction. He would then claim that he wasn't racist because it was a "joke". He was racist. You would hear screams of "fucking black bastard" on a regular basis and that was in the family section. Some people seem to think that the sort of abuse that would get them arrested in the street is perfectly acceptable on the terraces. It isn't. So while I agree that "taking a knee" can't go on forever as it risks losing the impact of the message, while there are still knuckle dragging Neanderthals who think it's acceptable to shout things like that, then some sort of message needs to be front and centre like the health warnings on fag packets. And that's just fitba'. Racism seeps through the rest of our society like a fucking cancer. It's not everyone, I don't even think it's a majority, but it's still too many. |

I can honestly say I’ve never heard, been in the company of, or been friends with anyone who has said any of the insults you have experienced nor whom holds those views....I wouldn’t want to know them. I’ve never been a regular visitor to football matches either so not exposed there, but I kNow it still happens....thankfully it’s a minority, if it wasn’t then we’re basically saying that things are like they used to be in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s bad old days....and that we haven’t moved on...we have moved on with each generation imho. |

Yeah well the thing about my mate was that he refused to accept social progress. He was living in the 70s and got more determined to stay there. We had been mates since we were teenagers but as middle aged men we had become very different people.
You do hear this shite at football matches. The only thing that put me off going was all the other cunts that went and about 3 years ago I just didn't renew my season ticket. And that was at Motherwell. A family club. Imagine the shite you hear at Celtic Park or Ibrox (particularly Ibrox) where you're throwing sectarianism in too. There's been bother in George Sq the last couple of weeks where Rangers fans turned up to protect the fucking statues and the reports of racist abuse were shocking.
I don't know how we fix this. It's cultural and it's tribal. It's not football's fault but unfortunately that's the vessel that people use to engage in behaviour that they couldn't get away with in the street. Because they are part of a cast of thousands they feel emboldened. It starts in the home though.
