The reckoning was fucking shit as an actual piece of TV. All forced sinister music and every indoor scene set with dying light coming through the windows. Savile was creepy don't you know!
The problem I had was the bit that said they made some of it up for dramatic effect! Surely it was bad enough as it was?!? They also race swapped one of the victims for no reason and that actual victim also accused Tony Blackburn of being a nonce but that wasn't addressed. Then again I suppose if the BBC addressed it all it would like an epic mega series like that Indian thing in 200 parts.

The Haunting Remake of an old 60’s horror movie set in a haunted house. Liam Neeson , Owen Wilson and Catherine Zeta Jones are in it so i thought it might be half decent and maybe a chance that Zeta Jones would get the tits out. Absolute shite. Nae tits, nae plot to speak of, ham acting and a fucking waste of 2 hours
1/10.

That was utter wank. I was hoping the ghost would get Jones's baps out but it never happened.
The Legend of Hell House (1973) is a better film in the same vein.

Got a bit of a backlog of stuff I've seen but I'll start with the most recent I saw...
Godzilla MINUS ONE! (2023)
That's right it's Godzilla but minus 1......I think this is in reference to the first proper Godzilla film date in Japan. Not sure but....
It's the end of WW2 and a Kamikazi pilot bottles it and goes to an island used as a repair station. He gets accused of bottling it but later on this medium sized bastard called Godzilla shows up and starts wrecking shop. Pilot guy has a chance at redemption but bottles it again and every else is killed but he survives to return home to the destroyed Tokyo.
In the meantime the Americans start nuclear testing in the same area that Godzilla lives. Gozilla will soon get a lot bigger and start fucking things up again.
On the face of it you may think you are just going to see a dumb action movie but this isn't it. A lot of it deals with life in post war Japan and a lot of social elements that came with their unexpected defeat and the shame that came with it. When Gozilla finally makes it land you see some proper destruction and the aftermath of it with human consequences. The only trap it falls into is being a bit overly melodramatic at times but maybe that's a cultural thing. It was actually a really good film and Godzilla was a proper cunt and literally just a force of nature on a wrecking spree.
8/10 No tits.

Wonka 2023
With dreams of opening a shop in a city renowned for its chocolate, a young and poor Willy Wonka discovers that the industry is run by a cartel of greedy chocolatiers.
I haven't been to the cinema in years. We booked them recliner seats. Stone me what an improvement.
Anyway, a silly trippy, semi musical that entertained. Kudos to the casters that chose someone reminiscent of both Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp in the lead. Hugh Grant was good.
For some it will be a woke but that's a sad indictment of modern times.
Catch it when it hits freeview.
6.5/10 No tits.

Silent night (2023)
This is John Woo film so you sort of know what you'll be getting.
Movie starts with a bloke trying to intervene in a gang shootout and eventually he gets shot in the throat and left for dead. Why did he do this, well his kid got killed when the gang war went past his house. Bloke recovers physically but not mentally. Wife leaves him and he makes a plan that he'll kill them all by a certain date.
And that's it really. Bloke gets buff, watches YouTube videos on how to stab people, buys guns and off he goes to get vengeance. It was entertaining enough I guess but nothing special.
6.5/10 no tits

Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 1.
The IMF battle an AI weapon.
Existential danger to the team - check
Fight on top of a moving train - check
Motorbike chase - check
A helmetless Tom Cruise walking away from a motorbike crash that would have put the rest of us in hospital for a month - check.
In fairness I missed the end of this as the flight ended before the movie but if you're a fan of the Mission Impossible franchise then you will enjoy this. Equally, if you've seen any of the other Mission Impossible films then you've seen this.
I'll withhold a score until I've seen the end. Probably a 7-ish as you can't really argue with the effort put into these movies despite their formulaic predictability.

Aquaman 2 - the lost kingdom (2023)
Aquaman is now king of Atlantis and also has a child. The black manta wants to kill aquaman so is searching for some lost technology to do the job. He finds a magic trident that is possessed by the king of a long dead zombie kingdom or something and gains the power needed to kill aquaman.
Funnily enough the old technology is powered by something that increases global warming and sea acidity so Aquaman must also defeat global warming.
I think after seeing this that superhero films are done. It wasn't unwatchable but just a bit dull despite the tons of action and vivid CGI. The trouble is now film makers think more is more with CGI but it's basically less. It's like sensory overload.
5/10 no tits and not much Amber Heard as apparently they got rid of as much of her as possible.

Ferarri (2023)
Kylo Ren plays Enzo Ferrar circa 1957. Ferrari are on the verge of bankrupty and must win the Mille Miglia to do the old win on Sunday, sell on Monday. The era is very dangerous and today's hot shot is tomorrow's gravestone. Ferrari himself is a bit of a cunt, has a miserable wife and bird with his child on the side.
This is film about Enzo Ferrari rather than a film about racing. If you expecting a racing film like Le Mans or Grand Prix then you'll be disappointed. 90% of the film is Ferrari dealing with women and drivers. It was fairly good but what spoiled it for me was the STUPIDITY of the crash scenes. Now I've watched a lot of motorsport and have plenty of historic racing DVDs and downloads and never in the history of the world has physics allowed such ludicrous accidents as in this film. It really spoils the immersion as the car didn't really need to get airbourne about 100ft in the air do a triple backflip and nail the landing into a nearby wall. It's like watching someone playing a racing game with some bugs they need to fix. There's also something jarring about special effects lighting, it's very flat and just not real. I know it's easier to shoot and digital take it back to the 50s but it looks odd.
Anyway. It was ok and Penelope Cruz wins the Oscar for best miserable wife. 6/10 due to silly physics and no tits.

Gran turismo wasnt that bad. It is better than that brad pitt f1 film will be.
Seen quite a lot of films lately. Dune part 2 was probably the best with Willy Wonka leaving his chocolate factory to become the Messiah of Dune and lead the natives to freedom or whatever.
It's visually stunning and has a strong sense of prophecy, more so than the 1984 version but it may be a bit marmite as some won't like it's dry sci-fi.
Off to see Raiders of the lost ark as they are reshowing those. Never seen it on the big screen.

It's all subjective, but I thought that GT was awful; David Harbour was good in it, as was Geri Halliwell Horner (Ginger Spice), Djimon Hounsou and the lead, Archie Madekwe. The whole thing is inspired by a true story, but the on track action falls into the, "I need to accelerate harder to pass the guy in front, so I'll drop it down another gear!", trap! But, I also know that the film makers have to make it exciting; drivers constantly on the limit, using all of the gear in their cars efficiently isn't as entertaining! Neill Blomkamp other films are far superior IMO... but each to their own! I wouldn't dissuade anyone from watching it though.
