For me I think I'm most impressed with the way lights have come on. Some of the new LED torches/cycling lights are awesome. I was round my mum's house in the loft and all they have is these massive torches that take about 10 batteries and are about as much use a candle. My phone has more power and my LED worklight at 10w just blows old school lighting away.
And you?

Agree about lights. I bought some lights for my bike (bicycle) the other day. Amazing considering the huge battery powered candles in plastic tins we used to have as kids.
For me, wireless connectivity is pretty impressive. Bluetooth sound has its problems at high volumes at events obviously, but for personal home use its amazing. Even Miracast wireless HDMI can be OK, although it needs more development. Given that we now have wireless power, audio and video, we hardly need cables and wires anymore.

Wireless connectivity is brilliant.
I also love the lights on my bikes, well a pair of torches as it goes.
I suppose the 'correct answer' must be medical. Maybe AI 'reading' imaging?

Call centres. Remember how 30 years ago you'd phone your bank and some cunt would answer the phone? How boring was that? Little did we know the possibilities of being entertained by a mind puzzling aural maze of trying to match options 1-5 through multiple layers with the actual reason you're phoning. And then you get to relax for half an hour listening to some groovy tunes before experiencing the personal satisfaction of being allowed to teach someone on the other side of the world some prime Glaswegian expletives. Joyous progress indeed.

Fuck your numbers, my local hospital has advanced to you needing to say the ward or name of the person you wish to speak to. Blade runner type stuff. Next they will advance to don't call us, we'll call you.
Had to go to Manchester tonight. Google maps is very useful!!

Amazonworld. Years and years ago humans used to purchase goods from buildings known as shops. Each shop would sell stuff people wanted and could get advice, try stuff for size, discuss pros and cons, maybe haggle a bit, then buy the stuff. Maybe then they would go to a shop selling coffee, shoot the breeze with friends, have a laugh and stuff. In Amazonworld social activity is not allowed. People use computers or smart phones and look at pictures of things they want to buy, press buttons and wait 24 hours for said item to arrive in a huge box in a huge van. Tech advance ........... Probably still cycle lights

I lament the death of shops but am at the same time responsible. I was looking at a synth module in a local music shop and they wanted 395. Gear4 music wanted 289.
Hard to compete with that. I'm not flush enough to buy local when local charges 30% more
Come to think of it music tech is the bollocks now given you can almost identically emulate almost any vintage synth or in fact instrument. And with a laptop!

Had to go to Manchester tonight. Google maps is very useful!! My job means I have to find some very remote locations and I would seriously struggle without Google earth. Totally take it for granted now. I was also a Sat Nav denier for years but love it now, particularly being able to find Lat Long coordinates. Similarly GPS units. Saved me big time a few years ago hillwalking in Glencoe. Weather came in, couldn't see 5 metres in front and lost the path. Female companion was in hysterics. Map out, GPS on, pinpointed our location and got back on track in minutes with one very happy young lady. Still never got my hole though so maybe the technology isn't that clever...

IMO you either buy from shops or online. To go shop checkout purchase, try on whatever then go and order online is borderline criminal. Course it’s cheaper online. They don’t pay high st rates and employ minimum staff.
