I'm not sure if there is much interest in each WSB these days to warrant individual threads for each round, so I thought that I'll start one which is all encompassing.
The first test of the year kicks off tomorrow at Jerez. Lots of rider movement across several teams (Redding, Lowes, Laverty, Razgatlıoğlu etc), plus HRC officially running their own bikes with Bautista and Haslam.

I reckon that there will be interest enough. I started watching again last year and intend to carry on this year, especially with Reading stepping up.
Is the testing tomorrow officially timed?
It's brass monkey cold in Spain at the moment, expect pics of riders wearing tyre warmers in the pits.

Currently 7º where I am. Low today is 2º, but last week when I got to work it was -5º outside. (And yes, I rode my bike to work!)
Admittedly Jerez is a fair way South from me, but there was snow on the beaches yesterday!

I'm looking forward to this season, in the hope that Honda produce a blinder, AB can put a season together, Redding can challenge for podiums from the off, Toprac continues to progress, Lowes on the Kwak. Live timing usually happens here at Jerez for tests. live.crono-jerez.com/livetiming/

The high pressure currently over the UK producing chilly sunshine with blue skies has pushed the recent run of lows down south to Spain or further north. The forecast looks a bit hit and miss, rain showers and not that warm. www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2516326

Day 1 was a write off if you were looking to see how the season might go for the new Honda or Redding compared to WSB class riders and not the BSB riders/teams talent pool. Today's times looking similar to yesterday's, approx 12s off the pace.

So Rea sat in the garage smoking spliffs and eating donuts for nearly two days then gets up and whoops everyone when the weather looks nice for a bit... Is that a fair summary?

Possibly? But I do believe others were busy testing wet setups or just getting familiar with new equipment. Rea has had 5 years on the same bike and team going into this season. WSB is going to be the best motorcycle series in 2020. You have a potential 3 rider battle for the title in Rea, Bautista and Redding and another 5 riders who are genuine race winners on their day.
MotoGP is the pinnacle but Marc Marquez will dominate in 2020.
Similarly Brookes will do the same in BSB. But the battle for runner up will be interesting in both MotoGP and BSB.
The support classes will let WSB down as it is a case of who cares in WSS and SuperSport 300. Moto2 is of interest as is Moto3 and although BSB support classes are less important, they usually throw up a good race or two during the season.

I think that last night I slipped into thinking that Rea was going to do a Marquez and walk away with it in a predictable and Dorna annoying fashion. I hope you're right about Bautista and Redding, and I can't help wondering which are the other 5 riders you are mentally lining up: Haslam, Davies, Lowes? Vd Mark? Toprak?

Just a random aside: I think I will miss DelBianco this year. I don't think he deserved to lose his ride.
