Hong Kong was full if them. 2 problems though. A. They were subsided to half price and 2000 got sold, the took the subsidy away and sold 30 the next year. B. Power generation in Hong Kong is dirty and the cars effectively pollute more than petrol. B. Wrong. You do know that it take huge amount of eletricity to make fuel? So much, the the oil lobbyists have manged to make these figues secret since 2004 in the US and UK. Then the fuel has to be transportet in inefficient trucks. Dirty electricity to an electic car is cleaner than uising said eletricity to refine fuel, transport it in thirsty trucks and then in a car that runs at about 30% efficency. Btw, I have a diesel, 2 motorbikes and a tured up mini. Love engines. Just fint the new stuff intresting. The future is not pushing bit of aluminium up and down with explosions.

I was reading a classic car magazine and the governing bodies about such things have already ruled classic cars are no longer classic cars if they do electric conversions. I think this relates to show and concours and such nonsense.
