The terrible events of Manchester were brought home this morning as 2 children and their parents from my lad's school in Gloucester went to that gig last night. Neither child are in school and no one has heard from them; hopefully they are safe and are just being kept at home today.

The problem about terrorism is that it is very difficult to stop in a free country. Last night was pure terrorism, you could understand but still be disgusted if it had been military but kids out having a good time. That they were predominantly female is pure evil.
Can there be any excuse for such radicalisation?

Can't get my head around how twisted you must be to do that.
An 8 year old girl among the dead. Utterly distressing.

Anger, fear, aggression. The dark side are they. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.

Even Morrissey has had enough.
app-facebook Morrissey Official on Tuesday Celebrating my birthday in Manchester as news of the Manchester Arena bomb broke. The anger is monumental. For what reason will this ever stop? Theresa May says such attacks "will not break us", but her own life is lived in a bullet-proof bubble, and she evidently does not need to identify any young people today in Manchester morgues. Also, "will not break us" means that the tragedy will not break her, or her policies on immigration. The young people of Manchester are already broken - thanks all the same, Theresa. Sadiq Khan says "London is united with Manchester", but he does not condemn Islamic State - who have claimed responsibility for the bomb. The Queen receives absurd praise for her 'strong words' against the attack, yet she does not cancel today's garden party at Buckingham Palace - for which no criticism is allowed in the Britain of free press. Manchester mayor Andy Burnham says the attack is the work of an "extremist". An extreme what? An extreme rabbit? In modern Britain everyone seems petrified to officially say what we all say in private. Politicians tell us they are unafraid, but they are never the victims. How easy to be unafraid when one is protected from the line of fire. The people have no such protections. Morrissey 23 May 2017.

Well, that's a turn up for the books. I hate Morrissey with a passion but find myself agreeing with a lot of that.

Fantastic rant but what does he suggest people should actually do about it. Its all very well saying to no more hashtags etc, whilst he makes a video and puts it on youtube. Is that going to stop ISIS? Of course not. If he said he was organising a march to Westminster or even tell people to get off their arse and lobby their MPs it would be a start.

PS, has anyone tried contacted their MP about anything, in my experience most of the time they dont bother to reply to emails.

I looked up my MP. On the face of it, 'he' answers questions on line but when you read in the answers are standard politician replies. I'm tempted to ask, "Please answer 'yes' or 'no' ..."
