Brookes seemed quite complimentary to Redding for his efforts in R1 today, still trying for the win and not settling for 3rd. Another bad start for Redding again should keep the interest up.
14 points in it, thank God for the showdown, otherwise it would be 17.

Well that's that! Was hoping Bridewell would have a stab but I guess that was all the race Redding needed to do.
Must say towards the later end of his GP career I had Redding down as a bit of a rash fuckwit but he's been very methodical about BSB and I think he'll be hot stuff in WSB.
ALL HAIL REDDING!

Considering he bust his femur pre-season as well he has done well. Most wins, just, and survived the British tracks unscathed. The same approach next year (without breaking bones in the winter) and he might give Rea a run. He seems to learn new tracks quickly.

I can see him doing the same in WSB next year if Ducati provide him with everything he needs. The tracks will be more to his liking and the electronics will be familiar. I think he has his mojo back as well.

Agreed but I think starts are more important on BSB tracks than WSB.

Full fat electronics in WSB, starting should be less of an issue for him.

Well, I managed to avoid any talk of MotoGP and BSB in social media all day. Watched all 3 GPs without any spoilers, which is rare, then watched BSB Race 1 from Saturday before heading to bed last night. Flicked over to BBC1 to watch a bit of the news and to catch up on the Brexit Circus, and the first thing I hear on Points West is that Redding has won the BSB title! Bike racing is hardly ever mentioned on the BBC, let alone the local news, but Scott is a local lad (South West), so they had to go and blurt it out!

That shit always happens when you least expect it. I watched Motogp first but the usual result is Huewen and Hodgson always talk about the previous races and ruin it, luckily they didn't this time.

I'll watch the rest tonight; all I know is that that he won the championship, but not how

Oh, and it look as though Redding will be taking his crew chief to WSB.

Its put paid to Mekons 'shite hair-cut' theory...Which is a shame as it really held water up until then

I am still refining the theory with new data. I thought it was proven good and proper with WSB, as Baustista got rid of the highlights and immediately won.
New theory is perhaps it kicks in at certain age or at a series level. Obviously Redding is under 30 so perhaps can still have a daft haircut. Being an ex-gp rider maybe he has enough talent to offset stupid haircuts at national level. Bauststa is over 30 so silly haircuts perhaps affect him more, as were guys like Aaron Slight. Haga just used to put daft wigs on so maybe negated it.
You've also got to combine with baldness theory. Max Biaggi was off the pace until he got a reseed and moved to WSB to win his first race. Rossi is actually starting to thin a bit so maybe if got the full Elton John he may get one last title. Once you start balding though, you can't win GP titles. Maybe do a Niall MacKenzie and grab a BSB title like Shakey but no further internation success. This was Sykes' problem. People say he couldn't manage a tyre but it was simply he started going bald.

Ha! I cant argue with any of that...Maybe you should send your findings to all the current team managers to aid with recruitment...
'How about this guy?' Nope, hes receding, he can fuck off to BSB 'This guy? He has a full head of his own hair in its natural colour?' Give him a factory Repsol Honda

I reckon Marquez was viewed as hot stuff as soon as HRC brass saw his old man's noggin. Full head of hair. The family obviously has title potential.
