Redding firm favourite with a 28 point lead over Brookes and 65 over Bridewell. Brookes had a double and Redding a 3rd & 22nd in June in a wet/dry day. It would be nice if the weather played ball and temperatures stayed high and the rain stayed away. www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/u10hjuzyyOops. Its not that bad, it could stay dry but could be a stop/go sort of racing day.

My money is on Brookes. He's very fast at Brands and literally has nothing to lose now. I was thinking maybe Redding would come away from Donington with a bigger gap but Brookes got lucky in race one with DNFs.
Brands is one of those tracks where a small mistake is hard to pull back, just look at previous titles and the drama that's happened. I reckon someone like MacKenzie will take Redding out.

I concur. Also I prefer Brookes to Redding. Starts are vital at Brands too and Redding hasn’t been great in that department. Hope we get a Hill, Hopkins type finale.

3 wins for Brookes and 3 3rds for Redding would see Redding win by 1 point.

I'll be there Sunday.
Hopefully, it'll be a thriller.

Its not easy to follow, particularly at Brands, but Scott is class and I reckon he'll do it. Should be a great days racing regardless

Anyone think the BSB calendar needs tightening up a bit? Dragging past September in the UK is a bit crap imo and there seems to have loads of large gaps this year. Seems to have started too late and finishes too late.

Late April start seems fine to me, it snowed at Brands a couple of years back. If they raced every fortnight from then on though the season would be done in September.
Good call.

What the fuck is this cheap italian bike shit that's befallen Redding! He's got a job on tomorrow and also this afternoon!

What the fuck is this cheap italian bike shit that's befallen Redding! He's got a job on tomorrow and also this afternoon! Brookes had bike issues at the start of the season, 1 or 2 dnfs plus missing a qualifying session iirc. It certainly adds to the interest seeing him start further down than one might expect.

Well that was a useful save. Brookes seemed a bit salty about it, what with the red flag but it was better than being harassed by Redding if he'd started 2nd or 3rd. I think the problem is he now knows basically Redding is fast enough to get 3rd and that wins the title.

Brookes looks like a man who's having a bittersweet time. Needs 15 points to win so Redding only has to finish in the top 10. If Redding doesn't finish then Brookes needs 3rd which is well within his reach.
Hard to tell who Bird wants to win as he just looks like a fat cokehead with hypertension (not that he is one obviously) all the time. Either that or he's just about to go for a big shit.

Kennedy. Is he accidentally on a superbike this weekend? He's in a different county again.

I think he's cheating somehow. I can't remember which race it was but the bike looked suspect in the way it was laying down the power. 2s a lap on the opening lap!?! I just don't think he's THAT good. I'm probably completely wrong.
Be interesting to see how he goes next year.
