Have you changed your opinion on him over the years if you held one? I used to find he skirted a fine line between interesting and really annoying but have been a watching a few 'our Guy in...' things and I quite enjoyed them.
Can't wait to see 'our Guy in court' though. Stupid sod.

I've always liked him.
His bike riding abilities opened up a lot of doors that otherwise be closed. I get the impression he gets involved in TV stuff he really likes so his enthusiasm is genuine.
I prefer characters to bland fuckers.

My kids are a bit meh about bikes but they really like his history & engineering programs. His enthusiasm for engineering & the history behind it is genuine and kids get that. If his programs encourage kids to follow engineering careers that's a good thing.
