Well, I enjoyed all of the WSB races over the weekend, which is rare these days. Well done to Rea and his team on an extremely impressive turn around; taking the points in the early rounds and winning when they could (although it must be said that he fought hard for a lot of those second places). Baustista was unlucky to be taken out by a near highsiding Toprak in R2 and apparently Davies suffered an electronic malfunction when he crashed out of R1.
600SSP was frantic. When Whithman talks about if being an irrelevant class, I think that he's really taking about it from a European perspective; 600 sales are declining and only the R6 and Ninja are sold over here and Europe, but outside the Eurozone they are doing OK... christ even the GSX-R600 & 750 is still being sold in the US!

As for MotoGP going to Magny Cours, I'm not sure if it would be deemed as safe enough for the litre bikes; the walls are very close leading to the Adelaide hairpin and the run off in certain areas looks a bit inadequate. But as far as circuit layout goes, it appears to far superior to Le Mans'.

Thing is, how much faster would a MotoGP bike be around MC?......wouldn’t be huge....1.5s maybe....which is a lot per lap, but as far as top speeds go I don’t think there would be a huge difference. The Panigale can hit 315kmh in the right conditions.
