Went to work this morning couldn't see a fucking thing. I bought a new lid because I liked the design but the lid is shit and even when your flip the visor open a bit it still won't demist. Thing is crap, whistles like fuck, starts to life upwards when you crack on and is generally shite.
Don't buy cheap lids!
Anyway, any ideas about anti-fog?

Close your mouth and breath out through your nose

I've been using Pinlock inserts since Arai started incorporating them into their visors as standard.
The first one I had was on a "standard visor" and it was great. I never had to adjust it or anything, just kept using it year after year.
But on my new lid the visor is different, what Arai calls "max-vision" where the pinlock insert sits in a recess on the inner face of the visor, and it is shite. It's impossible to make it seal properly.
So I would recommend getting a "normal" old school pinlock.

Timely post. I'm having big issues with glasses AND visor misting up at the moment. Pinlock will fix the latter, anyone know what works with glasses?

Pin locks are excellent. If you don't have one though use a small dab of fairy washing up liquid on the inside of your visor and rub it in until there are no smears. That works well for about an hour.

Have you thought about wearing contact lenses when riding? Daily disposables are about £45 for a set of 30 pairs depending where you shop, but they're probably cheaper is you don't have astigmatism. I couldn't get on with glasses as I kept looking over the top of them, especially when on track. It's probably not so bad if you don't ride a sports bike, due to the riding position.

Cheers. Contacts are out, only use glasses for distance work (ie, driving, TV & cinema). Problem is I suffer from a condition called Hooteris Maximus, nose is right up against visor and breath bounces back onto glasses. Its only an issue on my commute, once Im moving everything is clear, stopping for lights causes fogging and I commute across town. Speaking of glasses mine are a godsend apart from the fogging issue. I have a driving set with a grey tint at the lowest gradient level. Great for low winter sun in the car. Accidently left my everyday glasses at home and had to ride in dark with them. Wow! a bit of a revelation. Most of the flaring that comes off halogen and led headlamps was gone, also they cut through reflection off wet roads. Even though they are tinted my night vision in town at least, has improved immeasurably, probably illegal to use but the improved contrast now shows up manhole covers in the rain at night, so I'm sticking with them.

Always use a doubled up bandana over mouth & nose to keep dust out but it doesn't really work with fogging, the nose guard insert I have is rubbish (Shoei XR1000) the thing I'm really looking for is a Respiro Bandit thingy but I'm not sure if they are still available, no one seem to stock them. Even the visor shop. Bicycle masks are to bulky to fit with my helmet.

I think that the bit cover the nose area were made of neoprene!? respro.com/store/product/bandit-scarf
