Because of the nature of the track, Redding and Barbera should get up to speed quicker at Snetterton than either did at Oulton or Knockhill.

Redding is going to run away with this one if fp1 is anything to go by. 0.5s clear of everyone else most of the session and then nearly 1s at the end of the session. Nearest was Hickman by 0.2 but he only pulled that out in the dying seconds.
Ducati seems to able to stretch its legs here and does have a speed advantage. This said, Brookes was well off the pace, which is why I don't think he'll win the title. Not consistent enough.

Just like the Nortons in the late 80's... ... but without the spine-tingling sound track

Thankfully the rain has stayed away, it looked a miserable day on the initial forecast. Interesting that Redding wasnt the quickest through and of the speed traps (depends if the speed trap is in the braking zone for the bikes maybe), just 4th if you scroll to FREE PRACTICE 1 - BEST SPEEDS . www.tsl-timing.com/file/?f=BSB/2019/192904sbk.pdf

More interesting that Danny Kent's bike is an utter sack of shit. 5s a lap down. Shocking.

It looked like Kent managed just 2 laps in FP1 and 4 flying laps in FP2 with a fair amount of time in the pits. Is this his 1st go on the bike?

Kent's bike continues to be shite this morning. No laps completed and flagged off circuit. What a shit show but this was expected when using a bike that never did anything at WSB level either. The team owner looks like he ate the entire budget so what do you expect.

It lasted another 10 minutes or so in Q1 before the black/orange flag came out. Kent said it keeps breaking clutch cover gaskets. He also said they hadn't done a test on it because there wasn't time. Shit luck for him.
Meanwhile Redding got in a quick qualifying lap in Q3 before the red flag came out, things running his way for a change.

Did they buy it off Gumtree or something?
'Awesome MV superbike for sale, just needs minor work to be race ready and winning a BSB championship!
No returns'

Otis is too good for BSB.
Get him into WSB, then back to motogp.

Yeah, if Ducati had dumped Chas and gone for a Redding/Bautista attack then Rea would have been picking up 3rd places.

Because this is racing and Ducati aren't there for 2nd every year. Anyway, must be dawning on Redding's competitors that they are perhaps a step behind now. Crasher MacKenzie tumbling again and Bridewell starting to get frustrated with not winning anything. I reckon his only real competition now is Brookes. I really do hope it's onwards and upwards for Redding as I don't want to see him wasted in BSB even if the racing is better than what he's been at for last few years. Someone needs to give Rea a proper consistent kicking unlike Bautista who appears to have a glass jaw once counter attacked.

Yeah, if Ducati had dumped Chas and gone for a Redding/Bautista attack then Rea would have been picking up 3rd places. Easy to be smart half way through the season but I don't think any/many people forecast Bautista and Redding to have the success they have had this year. It does go to show the standard of MotoGP and the necessity to be on the right bike though. I'm in no way saying Scott is a potential MotoGP champion but it makes you wonder where he'd be finishing if he'd been on the right bike at the right time.
