AND THEY WERE FUCKING AWESOME!
What a spectacle of a show for OAPs! 45+ years into a career and still able to knock it out of the park. Possibly the best gig I've ever been to! It was like new year's eve or something.
Fuck all these cunts like Stormzy and Ed Sheeran. They won't be remembered in 45 years.

Nice one. Especially as it was better than you were expecting it sounds like.

I saw Kiss play in a car park in Tenerife about 12 years ago.
They were good, but the gig itself was tragic. They had put up a fairly big stage in the car park which was next to a road which went past over a bridge. Obviously you had to pay to get into the official venue, but the locals just stood on the bridge watching for free.
After about 3 or 4 songs, when it was clear that there were only a few hundred people at most inside, the singer told the security to just open the gates so that the people on the bridge could come down and get in free. They went on to say that they had noticed a big stadium in the city and the next time they would play there... yeah, right.
Sad, but they did play quite well.

On the basis of what I generally listen to they shouldn't qualify but somehow I like them. I read that back in 1976 or 78 they had the merchandise thing so locked down that they were making £100m a year from it......in the 70s! They must be stinking rich. Thing is there isn't really that sort of money in music anymore, there aren't any superstars that will endure being made anymore. Or that's the problem, they are made. They don't put the groundwork in to last.
