Always a good circuit to watch racing at, although I feel it is starting to get a little dangerous in places for WSB.

Shaping up to be another shockingly boring round. Dorna clearly don't give a fuck.

What the series needs is for Rea to no score for the next four races and for Chas & Dave to go on a wining streak for the next six. Wishful thinking though. Having said that, Spies pulled back Haga in 2009 when he had an 88 point lead. It can be done.

No disrespect to him but Davies isn't at the level that Edwards or Spies were in those seasons. There is literally no point in looking at the results of any free practice nowdays, so predictable. I understand the grid reversal idea (don't agree with it though) and it can make things interesting for a lap or two but Dorna need to find a way of limiting spending by Kawasaki & Ducati. For me it should be brought in line with BSB rules.

Get in Chas. Despite mods Imola is still a brilliant racetrack.

Last year Davies won by 3 & 4 seconds so hopefully he can give Rea a hard time this weekend. Rea has been better in the R2 early laps at coming through to lead with the dumb new rules.

Fuck that could have been really nasty. Shades of Gordon Richie at Brands, hopefully Norge is ok for tomorrow.

At least Eugene had the sense to bail out early cos that is a hard barrier to hit on that corner. Well done Chas. Different class

ELav was lucky to get away uninjured, good decision to jump off as the bike wasnt going to slow down much.

Typical Alex Lowes move.

On any other day Lowes & Elav might have banged fairings and nothing more. This time ELav lost his brakes with a dramatic end.
I think I've seen Haga do banzai moves there and its worked, its the sort of think he did and pulled it off, or is that just my memory.
In that race, Edwards did a couple of clean passes there, @3:45 & @5:40. @22:40 he thought better of it. Thats where Lowes didnt think twice and there wasnt the gap, from the angle I saw anyway.
