First blood to Rea but I don't think Misano is quite as tricky as Imola to get a handle on.
Kiyonari is a fucking waste of space at this point in time. Nearly last, miles off the pace. What is the point in him anymore? He's dropped off a cliff in talent the last 10 years. Hopefully if Honda ever do release a serious 1000cc bike again, he won't be on it.

Massive highside for vd Mark, bust wrist and ribs but think he got away relatively lightly after watching that.

Exciting SP. Bautista went better in FP2 than SP with regards to race pace vs Rea so this could be a good race.

Mental weather, I think Bautista got a good result there. Good too see Sykes on the podium. Lowes should’ve had that in the bag though.

Both Lowes are reverting to type. It looked like Alex had his shit together but he's down the road more than on it. Haslam is looking pretty BSB at the moment. Certainly not on Rea's level, or near it at all really.

Good R3. Best bit was seeing Haslam not taking any shit from Melandri

Anyone think Bautista will crack and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Anyone think Bautista will crack and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? No. Not unless he gets hurt. JR having his bike roll over him was a weird one. Shame he couldn't roll it upright again and carry on.

Bautista seemed to be taking it too easy in the wet and then rides too hard when he easily had it. Yeah, I think he could mess up this year as Rea is at least consistent.
Even if he loses he's clearly the better rider as he doesn't just win he wipes the floor with them. That's what must be more annoying for the rest of them.
Be very interesting if Redding gets Donington wildcard ride. I wonder if they'd draft into a few more rounds if he does ok, just to buffer Rea a bit more as Davies seems unable to help.

He passed Rea easily....AB is a top rider on a top bike(something he’s never had in MotoGP), hope he keeps it upright and wins the title.

I posted around 4 weeks ago that we could see a season of two halves here, a bit like 2002...Im not writing Jonny Rea off one bit. He wants this title more than anything

So far Bautista has had MotoGP race experience at all the tracks they have raced at except Imola. At Imola, Rea won R1 and the SP race (7s ahead of AB in both), R2 rained off. 6 rounds left, with 3 tracks of Donington, Portimao and Magny Cours Bautista hasnt raced a big bike at. I think he would have tested at Portimao.
Just 16 points between them.

Bautista needs to stop trying to clear off and blitz everyone. That tactic is clearly not working, he seems good at preserving his tyres so why not wait till the end of the race and force others into mistakes.
He certainly isn't letting the crashes affect his mood as in interviews he comes across as a cheery wee cunt.
Don't know if it's just me but Shakey is starting to get on my nerves with his constant referencing to his career and how he could still be out there. No you couldn't, you had an outstanding career but ended up looking like a fucking alien. Get over it. And stop answering every question with "Yeh, well , i mean" Try using other words!!!!

I find it more grating that there's now always a Lowes available for literally everything. Eurosport - Lowes. BT - Lowes. Gravel trap - Lowes. TBH the only ex-rider that doesn't seem to grind my gears in MLav.
Speaking of Lavertys, how much does ELav weigh? He looked proper paper thin, please feed me at Misano.

You can X-ray him by holding him up to the window. He looses weight off season and is the envy of all the other riders. When you see him with his shirt off he's like a bag of chains, he must have next to zero fat.
