That ruiz was way sharper that he expected. That's what happens when you fight every nine months and half the time your opponents are cruisers and bums.
Less steroids more cardio.

Haven't seen it but agree the impression he was ill prepared. Ruiz won't be champion for long.

I've been telling people at work that Ruiz was all wrong for Joshua. I never expected that performance though. I thought he would take it the distance and lose on points in a close fight where everyone would call it a robbery.
Joshua can't fight going backwards or when under attack. I've said many times before, he is a very focused, fit and big individual with very basic boxing skills. He has more to his boxing game than Wilder, but Wilder has freak power to get him the win when he is being outboxed. Unless it's against Fury.
Now Fury has gotten fully back up to speed, he will be unbeatable by any of the current crop.
If I was Joshua, I would think twice before taking that immediate rematch with Ruiz. I fancy Ruiz to do him quicker if they fight again this year. Joshua was such a hype job. He is still top four or five but thankfully all this crap about him being the best and better than previous heavyweight legends will now be put to rest.

Drop Joshua into the Bowe/holyfield/Lewis era of boxing and he gets smoked.

Rematch 'announced' for November or December. AJ needs to muller him to regain credibility.

He will either fight scared and get stopped, fight reckless and get stopped or try and learn some boxing skills and do something different. If I was him, I'd bring in another boxing coach alongside Rob McCracken to develop some craft. Dom Ingle would be a good fit for him.

I was surprised at Ruiz, didn’t take one step backwards, not intimidated at all....he wanted it ...Joshua didn’t seem to know what to do. The new Bruno?
Ruiz financially setup for life now...nice one.

Joshua thought he had the fight won through chiseled physique.

Joshua don't want none of that Fury.

Joshua don't want none of that Fury. You're not wrong there. I'd like to see White fight again now.
