LOL at Hodgson saying that was embarassing. I seem to remember him in handbags at dawn at Sugo, prancing about in the gravel trap.
The sport needs more needle though. Not 24/7 but all this chummy brit club thing needs to end. I bet they all hate each other really. And why not, that's potentially money not in the pocket when you don't perform.

Pretty concise and detailed description of events from Chas and he's every right to be aggrieved. Rae is not my favourite rider and tactics like this do him no credit whatsoever. Love to see Chas get a bit revenge at Imola in front of the Italian Ducati fans. Good spice

Rea has gone from hard charger to prima donna. Sykes is just a non-entity now.

Rea has gone from hard charger to prima donna. Sykes is just a non-entity now. Bit harsh on Sykes. He ran #65 really close in the 2nd race despite his debilitating illness. His riding style hasn't suited the new ZX10 but i wouldn't call him a non-entity. The spice is there now in WSB at long last. A bit of needle is all we ask. Did you see Van Der Mark laughing his cock off at the swearing match between Chas and #65 in the parc ferme?

I should have clarified, i meant in the personality stakes. It's like he's there but he's not in terms of WSB character presence.

Agree ^. He's a nice guy and approachable...That seems to be construed as boring, which is unfortunate. I think we were spoiled in the halcyon days of SBK and now theres no one who comes close in terms of pure entertainment and dramatics.

Odd you say that, I was watching the 1993 season the other day and it was just 'better'. Even the tracks were better.

Maybe a bit rose-tinted but there was something special about WSB back then...Foggy, Russell, Slight, Kocinski..... Or maybe its because MGP was less interesting, dunno.
