Easy to forget Bautista isn't just another Motogp refugee looking for an easy retirement paycheck, he's still a top 10 (or even top 5 on a good day) Motogp contender. Also the ex Gp two-stroke guys seem to have the ability to go quick and mind tyres at the same time (Max & Marco are prime examples), that ride was never going to go shit for him at the end. Impressed.

Good Lord. What a pasting.
I expected a podium but not a win by such a margin. I thought it come down to some last corner chess or something.
Haslam gonna Haslam I guess.

Just noticed Rea did the old 'have a look at the rear tyre' thing.

That was a right pasting by Bautista....shame Haslam binned it, he was looking good for 2nd. AB showed what he’s capable of when he rode JL’s Ducati at PI last season...
Thought Sykes did a good job on a road bike! ;-) a bit more speed and that BMW will be up there.

First Superbike race I've watched for years. Bautista could have made it look a bit harder, embarrassing really. Toprak passing Sykes every lap on the straight must be pretty embarrassing for BMW too. I forgot Melandri was still racing!

Blimey, Simon Buckmaster looks like he has aged terribly in the past couple of years. That's what running a Honda team in World Supersport will do to you.

It won't be like that every round but at least WSB is interesting again.

If Bautista carries on like this it will be; Rea era, the interesting years.
New to some tracks, new to the tyres and a new bike - Have expectations for Redding increased?

Haslam showed what a committed rider can do on the Kwak

AB took the piss there......I’m sure it won’t be like that at every round....but it’s refreshing to see. Quite enjoyed the SP WSB race too....just go for it, and don’t worry too much about the tyres.

Maybe Rea was right to swerve motogp after all?

Maybe Rea was right to swerve motogp after all? Maybe so if got a Honda ride this year.... After that display I'm guessing races will be more like race 2 at other tracks, at least Rea was sort of in it for a bit. I can see him and Haslam falling out at some point in the year as I'd imagine Haslam will take some points off him at some point. Kiyo was shit as expected. What a waste of time the Honda business is. Why does anyone bother to run a Honda anymore? At least the Yamahas seemed a bit more lively but then again, it's PI and what goes there may not go elsewhere.

Rea has come out with the old "we bought a knife to a gunfight" comment already. Kawasaki should have had second and third in all three races and the next best Ducati was struggling to scrape into the top ten. Hypocritical twat, don't remember him saying "we bought a gun to a knife fight" for the last four years.

Rea used to crash the fuck out that Honda and soon as he got on the hyper-Kwak was god's annointed one. Seems he's forgotten 'the struggle' in his period as the most successful superbike racer of all time......
What I did seem to notice was Baustista seemed have a lot of front end twitches but clearly just rode through them and onwards. I wonder if it's that element Chaz was on about not liking in his front end?
