Best cover song ever? It's got to be up there! Possibly a thread all of its own fella. Hendrix All along the Watchtower would be a contender too.

My 2 big things have always been bikes n music, especially live gigs. I really miss gigs, last one was Richard Dawson Feb 2020 just before first lockdown, a good one too. Now this bastid thing drops into my in-tray.

Almost worth getting covid for, best lineup for years. Plus its Porto, I've done Barcelona before.

When did Pavement reform?

Not sure, but there seems to be a quiet revolution of older bands turning up at festivals, notice Slowdive and Dinosaur JR also. Ride have been doing the rounds lately too, they do a stonkin set. Do I reach for the credit card.. decisions, decisions.. 2022 is a fair way off and my 2nd hip is on way out, will I still be festival fit by then

I toyed with buying tickets for Playground festival in Glasgow this year. Belting lineup including Kraftwerk, whom I've never seen, Underworld, Numan, Neneh Cherry. Held off due to Covid uncertainty and thank fuck I did. Lineup completely changed. Main headliner now Culture fucking Club! I'd be demanding a refund if I'd already bought a ticket.

Aside from the obvious headliners...minus Tame Impala....never heard on any of those bands....so checked out one at random, King Krule. Not my kind of groove man...oh well, I’ll check out a few more.

Dodged a bullet there. This eighties revival shite gets on my tits.

Aye. Boy George gets on my tits. Cunts seem to regard him as a British pop treasure these days, conveniently forgetting that he was jailed for false imprisonment of a sex worker whom he tied to a radiator and beat with a fucking chain.
I wonder where you'd stand with refunds. I know a few folk who had bought tickets. The quality of the lineup has severely plummeted and I would be genuinely raging if I'd splashed out.
I was also thinking about Doune the Rabbit Hole. That's a tremendous small festival. Their lineup's changed too but they've managed to pull it out the bag with some tremendous acts.
