Right or wrong? The guy looks like a fucking zombie, should he really be on the road?
My mother is 76 now and I think I'm going to have to think about her not driving much longer.

On his private estates? Maybe. On the public highways? No IMHO. He has enough staff to drive him to where he needs to be.

He wasn't driving a weedy smart car. It was a fucking missile. Wish there was some dash cam footage.
Time to pack it in. You don't have that sort of a prang with a baby in the other vehicle that gets away uninjured.

Here's a thing. If he's found to be at fault, will he be charged and prosecuted?
Somehow i doubt it.
Over eighties should have a routine eyesight test at the very minimum.

I reckon he was trying to escape. Surely he would not be allowed off site alone.

My grandad was starting to suffer from dementia when he was late 80s. His memory had gone, he used to light a fag and have a puff, put it down, go into another room and light up another. His heart and eyesight were fine so the doctor couldn't take away his license on medical grounds despite my mum saying he really shouldnt be driving. I dont think he had a prang in his life and was still driving ok, but the worry was his reactions might not be as good as they were. I think in the end mum told him that the minor MOT failure was a major one and to scrap the car.

I listened to the interview from the fella who was first at the scene, and his version of events differed widely. Thought your quote may be from the mail

I saw the woman on ITV news yesterday, with an arm in plaster, complaining she hadn't received a full medical check. If she felt other injuries she should have said so. No doubt the where theres blame theres a claim lawyers will have been in touch with her already. The old fool probably hasn't apologised as that would be accepting blame for the crash. It was his fault, he pulled out in front of her at a junction and should be prosecuted. Reports give he was saying he was dazzled by the sun is no excuse. The crash happened at the junction of the A149 and B1439. She said she was going home to Kings Lynn after a day out at Hunstanton, so would have been travelling south. Anyone else spot the flaw with 'dazzled by the sun' excuse?

Her arm is in plaster, so I would imagine that it was x-rayed prior to it being potted, and some injuries take time to become obvious as any swelling needs to subside first.
Her insurance company will be all over this in due course.

"Have you had an accident with a Royal in the last 3 years?....then call 0800-Where There's Blame There's a Claim"..
Did she think she'd get a call from Phil or Queenie personally?....is she thick?...As she's all over the media I'm pretty sure there will be a nice payout for all her suffering.
Phil needs to give up the license...
