My mate is well into this lark. Got some fancy £1500 on that will actually follow you etc.
I can see after yesterday that most people will now view him as drone wanker. Can't say I'm not with them actually as some wanker was flying one over our estate the other day and they're actually loud and fucking annoying.
Drone wankers fuck off.

Drones can be fun, but someone will always object to new technology which disrupts their quality of life. Eventually laws will be put in place to curb noise pollution, add flight restriction zones, licences for certain operating particular areas, times of use etc.

Some of the footage they get is brilliant and the 'follow me' ones are pretty cool.

There has been some pretty amazing drone coverage of windsurfing events in the last couple of years. Even at the cheaper end of the market its possible to get some decent shots. A local here has one, but I've not seen him fly it recently, maybe it landed in the water.
There are some twats who fly them around the local park and the beaches though.
The laws are currently woeful. 1km restriction ban from airports & 500m height restriction? A landing plane 1km from the runway is lower than that height.
