Brexit reality is biting deep now and predicted to get worse. "We hold all the cards." "They need us more than we need them." "We will leave the EU and get a better trade deal with them than we have now." The list of bullshit was endless and anyone pointing out it was bullshit was labelled a fear monger. Now look. The thing about trade is that distance matters. Goods become more expensive the further you need to send them so this makes it difficult to competitively price your products when you have to transport them 1000s of kilometres. And perishable goods just, well, perish. Equally, imported goods become more expensive here and we've all seen empty supermarket shelves. Even the most fervent EU fan would admit that the EU was far from perfect but we've now burnt our bridges with our nearest (and biggest) trading partners and are scratching our national arse for beef deals with fucking Australia. All predictable. We're sitting ducks in any international trade negotiations because we're now desperate as fuck. And how do we resolve Northern Ireland? The Tories want to tear up the protocol they negotiated because it's not fit for purpose. We're becoming increasingly isolated on the international stage with very few friends and allies and its a direct result of stupidity and arrogance. But hey, blue passports eh? www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-9914451/Break-EU-border-blockade-Britain-Food-drinks-chiefs-want-action.htmlWhat a pile of dribbling pish.

I wonder what the remain campaign think of this. “British citizenship applications by EU nationals up by 83 per cent after Brexit” I know that millions of Brits have threatened to move to the EU because of Brexit, but it seems very few if any have carried out the promise (as if they would be missed). Anyway it would be interesting to see the figures of Brits actually applying for EU citizenship after Brexit.

One of those was a friend, a dutch bird. Married a brit, lived here 25? years two children but a stressful application with no guarantees. That ought to have been a 'auto' acceptance to me.

Before Brexshit they had freedom of movement so were able to live and work here without any issues.
This increase is a direct result of Brexshit Slopey. These applicants have likely lived here for years but are applying for UK citizenship to avoid the risk of future deportation. It says as much in the article.
You on the Stella today Slopey? Carling? Screenwash?

Before Brexshit, when Theresa May was Home Secretary, she made a speech about creating a hostile environment for immigrants. Why the fuck is anyone surprised at this? What the fuck did Brexitwats think they were voting for when they voted to end freedom of movement? Did no cunt pay attention to Windrush?

I can only apologise. I voted for this because I'm a thick racist clown. It's on me and I take full responsibility. Fixed that for you Slopey.

I watched a news feature the other night about the problems the Scottish fishing industry is having post brexit, particularly in the processing plants. They are toiling to satisfy demand purely down to a labour shortage and the fishing spokesman who actually voted for brexit now thinks the industry has been fucked over and regrets the whole thing. Who would have predicted that 🤔

Who would have predicted that 🤔 I was under the impression that the fishing industry was fucked because post Brexit they couldn’t sell their catch, and now it seems they can’t fulfil the orders because they haven’t got enough people to satisfy demand? Can you ask your little stumpy friend for some of the Columbian woodbines for me to see if I can make sense of all of this. Here’s an idea, why don’t certain company owners get off of the idea of cheap imported labour and start offering decent wages, instead of taking the moral high ground about being socialists, when in fact they are fucking modern day proponents of slavery.

Here's an idea. Why don't you do your research before spouting forth. All over the UK there's a shortage of fruit and vegetable pickers. Not because the wages are shite, it's actually skilled work but hard and the myth that new jobs for UK citizens will be created post brexit is just that. A myth.
