They have to do something to fill the hole left in scrapping the Superstock 1000s.

Dorna will have to up the engine allocation for the year. Also, no mention of how the grid for the sprint race is determined; I assume that it'll follow the current format (which is shite).

Thick cunts.
"WSB is boring" - solution?
MORE BORING WSB!!!
Change the rules to BSB spec you fucktards. The boring RACING is the problem not the number of races. As it stands this will just be more chances to Rea for fill his record books like Joe Louis and his bum of the month club.

An extra race was a bad idea. The series needs new owners who want to compete against MotoGP.

Following on from MotoE, I reckon Dorna is trying to push teams into it via stuff like letting the shine go from WSB. No kudos for your WSB - move to MotoE! Johnny Rea MotoE champion!

They have to do something to fill the hole left in scrapping the Superstock 1000s. It also means we have to get in before 2 in the morning because they have an early race on Sunday. The takings in the Dutch bar will be down.

Why the f**k are they bothering with a special sprint race tyre? I know that the races are going to be shorter, but wouldn't stickier tyre just bugger up your settings?; Alex Lowes (BSN www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/portimao-worldsbk-test-lowes-makes-a-step-with-chassis-setting) " Concentrating so much on his machine settings on day one at Portimao, Lowes had little time to try out new tyres, holding off until the end to go with Pirelli’s new ‘sprint race’ ten lap tyre, but he ran out of time to make more than an initial impression.
“We used the normal race tyres all the first day, not any of the new Pirelli tyres,” said Lowes. “At the very end I was trying what they called the SCX, the pre-qualifying tyre, which could be an option for the new sprint races.
“I was on my first lap on that tyre and we got a red flag, which was a shame, because I think I was going to be a bit quicker. It does not matter on the first day. I know a lot of guys tried this sprint race tyre at Jerez and that was my first taste but it felt a bit more like a qualifier than a normal race tyre that I have been using all day.
“I think was more than half a second up until we got the red flag. It felt more like a qualifier, to me, with the grip in the rear, than it was a normal race tyre. I am not sure if it will do ten laps or not.”"
