www.worldsbk.com/en/news/2018/European+Superstock+1000+Championship+no+longer+to+continue+into+2019A bit of a shame, its been good value of the years. But there were only 18 riders on the grid for the last race. I guess they want the teams to enter WSBK. WSS on bikes which some manufacturers, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Triumph dont produce road bikes for (in the UK at least) means an R6 cup. SSP600 is good up to a point, but when they dick around with the rules like this year the championship has little value. So what are they planning for the future?

Whitham, Haydon and Byrne on Eurosport basically said WTF! Maybe like Whitham said, they are going to dumb down the WSBK regs to make it closer to STK1000. Maybe we will have a new class of 1200cc adventure bikes bouncing their way around the tracks

I read somewhere that they are looking at the naked class to replace stock1000s. Some shit about this is what people are really riding now. Only because the EU has fucked biking in the ass with regs and licence rules so kids can't be arsed to get a bike and everyone is an old cunt with a bad back and piles.

They should do a sound of singles class. Prototype chassis with a limit of 700cc on the engines. Slick tyres. Could be a good class to progress to after SSP300.

Ducati made their supermono, which looked and sounded magnificent. The rest were bored out Suzuki DR500 engines and the like. I suppose KTM have larger capacity singles. Being a production based series, I dont see what they can race other than what they are currently doing. Its up to the local event organisers to pad the day out with domestic races, like the Brits and the Dutch do. I remember going to events where they didnt, and it was just 2 WSBK races and 1 WSS race. Drona's Championship Direct Dani Carrera (great name, carrera is Spanish for race) gave an interview on Eurosport about the demise of STK1000. He said the manufacturers werent interested. Thats odd as most make a road bike for the class. Maybe he meant the manufacturers werent so interested in the whole World Superbike series as MotoGP. Kawasaki and Ducati seem to throw most money into WSBK, the rest not so much so.

Yeah, its all the EU's fault It looks like the 'EU' has banned kids from swimming pools as well. I started swimming regularly this year to keep fit and over the summer holidays there were no more than 5 or 6 youngsters at the pool. When I were a lad, I used to go swimming at least twice a week during the holidays and the pool was packed. Kids these days are so fat it would take more power than a moped/scooter can generate to get them rolling down the road.

Compulsory pit stops not so. Maybe 1 sprint race. Then much 1 longer race where it might be beneficial to use 2 sets of soft over 1 hard might be worth looking at.

KTM Adv v BMW GS v Multistrada Enduro....panniers compulsory! Well they had the Boxer cup as a support race to some MotoGP events years ago. It was entertaining. I think Richard Cooper use to do it.

KTM Adv v BMW GS v Multistrada Enduro....panniers compulsory! Pannier racing would be awesome. Includes a mandatory pit stop in which panniers must removed and filled with random shit from the garage and then off again. No doubt Kawasaki would ruin it by bringing in homologation special motogp tourer.
