What you running bros? Standard gopro or clone or one of those tubular things?
Only run the camera on my MTB/BMX and that was chest mounted or literally on top of the helmet. Not sure either of those is right for motorcycling.
Can you get a cheapish camera that uses Gopro mounts but yet has an externic mic socket?
I gottsta know!

I had an ION Air Pro to start. It uses a tripod thread for mounting but I got sand in it and stripped the thread. The screw on cap for the card/charging failed and it leaked and that was that. Quality of the video was ok but not as good as the GoPro Hero4 Session I bought discounted when the v5 came out. The GoPro is much sharper with better colours. It the smaller cube camera. For windsurfing I like the 4:3 aspect ratio over the 16:9 aspect as mounting it on my head you can see the board & the way ahead. Its got built in IS and 60fps but that runs down the battery quicker than turning IS off and using 30fps. The GoPro was fussy over the type of card as well, I had to fork out for a Sandisk Extreme card. Downsides are a built in battery so when thats shagged thats it. Also the plastic frame it sits in might not stand up to BMX wipeouts, water isnt as hard.

Forgot to mention the GPS is separate to the camera, I bought that off EBay for £50 2 years ago, Garmin Forerunner 310XT, Garmin's free software to add the track into the video & a lot of time spent faffing around.

Once you upload a video to youtube, there is the option of adding music from their royalty library. Its not easy to find something appropriate. I've not looked into adding music before uploading, I guess you can do it via iTunes etc and pay royalties etc. On of my local windsurfers always adds some shitty old age rock to his, I always click the mute button after clicking play.
