Is it me or is it getting exciting again? There are a quite a few 'box office' fighters out there and I hope they can engineer a shoot out. Balance of power over UK fighters now? Ultimately though, this thread is useless without the wisdom of Droog and vazy on the main players.

Don't know about wisdom but we do seem to be in the driving seat, I guess the leading promoter being British cant do any harm either.

Boxing is booming but it will always be held back by self serving governing bodies and promoters looking to 'protect' their interests.
Tyson Fury will reclaim all the belts at some point. His only opposition are a pair of dedicated and in shape 'champions' but both with limited boxing ability and questionable chins.
The rest are a fair few levels below. Except Usyk. Can't wait to see him at Heavyweight. He is a bit special.

They are no longer working together. Nothing has been said but from the gossip I've read on boxing forums, it looks like they fell out over the business side of things. Since Tyson came back last December and started working in the gym, he has been a different person altogether from the interviews I have seen. He is looking awesome in sparring and is now at 16.9 stone! That is lighter than when he was last boxing. The speed and timing are definitely still there. He just looks so much more confident and physically fitter in my opinion.
I know the comeback fight was a circus but I think the next fight in a couple of weeks time will show how good he still is.

Tyson being on TV again triggered this thread. Its good to have him back and he certainly livens it up. Interesting what you say about his weight Droog.

He said he wants to put a bit of weight back on as he is too light. I think he should weigh 18 stone as that is his best fighting weight.

Boxing is boring now. MMA is also boring now. Combat sports in general are boring.
Everything is too niche now it's behind paywalls and the man in the street only knows the real breakout fighters. Heavyweight is garbage and it's been garbage for decades now. Last prime period as Lewis, Bowe, Hollyfield, Tyson etc. Since then you've had the boredom of Klitchos and Shannon Briggs running around with 'hey champ'.
Mayweather is amazing in that he somehow made loads of money out of boring fights. Who the fuck pays to watch it? It's worse than when Eubank did his bum of the month TV deal with ITV and it was 'who the fuck is this guy'
Same if MMA and more specifically UFC. It's shite. It was better as wild west shit show as now it's a jack of all trades affair and you just seem to get bad boxing, bad grappling and bad strategy fights in which nothing happens. Add in USADA testing and the fighters all look like shit now. Fuck knows how McGregor managed to sell his talents so well. he looked like a chump first time round against Diaz and I hope it happens again with Nurmagomedov. Coked up degenerate that used to scrouge welfare.

Tyson Fury is so good out of the ring it eclipses what he does in it sometimes. He's loco.

Whyte v Chisora was a darn good tear up. I was cheering on Chisora but no shame in coming second last night. Seeing such a big man checking out the little yellow birds circling his head was a worry though. Maybe time to call it a day? What do our clever chaps Droog and vazy make of Whyte?

Whyte is a good box puncher and he has taken his fitness level very seriously this past few years. I can't see him beating Wilder due to his power but he might beat Joshua if everything went perfect for him. He is top five in the world regardless. He will give any heavyweight a good fight. I still say Fury is the best followed by Wilder and Joshua. Then you have Whyte, Ortiz, Povetkin and Pulev. They are closely followed by about ten fighters all of whom are decent world level heavyweights. The only fly in the ointment for the top three could be Usyk. He will in my opinion outbox anyone except Fury.

I was impressed with Chisora up until the KO, and Whytes discipline. The Frampton Warrington fight was a cracker.

I do love Jimmy Tibbs but every time I hear his son Mark interviewed I can't help feeling he is a bit thick. Seems to find talking difficult and always sounds confused.
