Obviously as a Englishman living on the outskirts of Westminster I have no interest in the Scottish round. Guess the Scots on here are too overcome by nationalistic pride* to start the thread. With Shakey out (maybe raced his last race) its looking good for Haslam although he was don in FP2. The weather looks a nice 20-21c temperature www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcvx23k6x#?date=2018-07-07*by nationalistic pride I mean too pissed

Dixon goes well at Knockhill. Can’t remember a time that teams could leave the wets at home.

Everytime they go to Knockhill I think of that Hill being used as a weather guide according to Niall Mackenzie......or was it Rob McElnea ?.
If you cannot see the hill its raining, if you can see the hill its going to rain .

Not a bad days racing. I hope the rumours of Brad Ray going WSB next year are true. His learning curve is still steep and that will soon diminish if he stays in BSB too long. Dixon would be a good shout for a WSB team himself. Shakey defo not coming back and Birdy knows it.

Not convinced Dixon is anything more than midpack WSB rider at best if he went there. I thought Knockhill would be the springboard last year but was never particulary impressive for the rest of the year.
What most riders could do with on moving up to WSB is a two year contract and I hope Ray gets one of those if he escapes BSB. Takes the pressure off a bit I suppose and at least there is a learning year.
I wonder who's next to do a deal with the devil if Shakey ain't coming back (which he isn't looking at his Frankenstein state)

Shit track, 49 second lap record FFS....why do they even bother riding Superbikes there?

I get the impression that Dixon has inherited a lot of his old mans natural talent and Darren Dixon was possibly the most naturally gifted UK rider of his generation certainly up there with Emmett & Hizzy. Dixon Jr's real and consistent speed will come from his head and not his wrist.
