He's a marmite type a guy, I've always liked him and WSS will be poorer without him.

I like marmite too. He found his class and totally dominated. Always found it amazing how he just got quicker and quicker during races. His competitor's pit signals must have been demoralising when he was hunting them down.

I disliked him at first for some of his dangerous moves, then realized how f**ing good he was and became a fan. Same for Melandri, without the fan bit. Still think he's a gobshite.

He certainly made an impact to the series in more ways than one I wasnt so keen on him at first because of some antics but you have to admire his skill and commitment to the sport and never a dull moment. Sad to see him retire but happy as well as he has had some bad injuries recently.

He just said on the grid interview he will be doing the warm-up lap then pulling into the pits (or is that just mind games ). He said the open skin wound on his leg still hasn't closed up, so maybe a good idea. It would be terrible for him to announce his retirement, but do one last race and get hurt again.
