A pretty good result for JR in yesterday's BBC SPOTY; 2nd spot and only 3,000 votes behind Sir Mo. Considering that WSB is a non-terrestrial TV sport and it's motorcycle racing, I don't think that he could have done any better.

He got a spot on the stage as well, rode through the aisles blipping the Kwak, then rolled up onto the stage with it.
Probably got all of Irelands votes.

Still pretty low voting figures for such a huge production. I voted JR, but was tempted to vote for Chris Froome.

It makes a change to have a motorcyclist do well. And he turned up in person unlike some others. The general public didnt seem interested this year either.
2017 votes: Sir Mo Farah 83,524 Jonathan Rea 80,567 Jonnie Peacock 73,429
2016 votes: Andy Murray 247,149 Alister Brownee 121,665 Nick Skelton 109,197

I'm guessing the votes were for the achievement rather than the personality.
Got to say a big well done for making the BBC acknowledge bike racing. It's well off the beeb's radar these days.

Clean winner in my books, Mo Farah and Chris Froom are damaged goods and Hamilton is a twat.

Clean winner in my books, Mo Farah and Chris Froom are damaged goods and Hamilton is a twat. I actually thought that Johnny would win it. Peacock that is. Fuck sakes he's disabled, good looking and been on Strictly. Strange that superbikes get bigger publicity in one of the shittiest seasons in memory. Probably the Irish reaction as was posted earlier. And the lack of public interest.

Mo Farah will probably get exposed as a doper as well. They all are.
