Had a proper ABS on swerve moment this morning. Fucking farm dog had got out on the road and I had to brake into ABS on levels and swerve around the fucking thing. I'm not sure if I'd have avoided it on the bike. I'd have been going faster as well just because I usually open it up a bit at that point. Luckily nothing was coming the other direction so I could take any line I wanted to avoid it but I'm guessing in something had been coming the other way I may have had to let the dog take the hit.

Had a crash last weekend doing downhill if that counts! No motor involved, but still hurts...
I was quite lucky this time, didn't hit a tree, which was nice, but I did hit the ground quite hard and the bike landed on top of me (according to the guy that was following me).
Bit of bruising on my hand, shoulder a bit stiff still, bruised ribs, grazed knee and a cut on my lower leg. Helmet took a whack but no injury there so it did its job!
Think I might take up fishing in the near future...

I got to that point. My BMX and MTB revival in my 40s has now left me with a right shoulder I can't seem to ever get up to the same level as the other. The left is also not amazing as I did a big jump and came down like a sack of shit on it. This bloody tennis elbow is messing up any weight based exercise I did.
It was a case of I still mentally want to do stupid shit but they healing times are so much longer now it's sort of not worth it. I can't go for a gentle off road ride, I'll just seek out drops and jumps. Best not bother.
Today I'm sort of in one of my give up sportsbikes, it's dangerous moods and that Royal Enfield Classic is calling me again or a bobber so I can pretend I'm in a bike gang.

Had an abs car moment last week, guy pulls in front of me…he did indicate but he moved into my braking space….someone in front of him must’ve braked hard and because there was not much room between me and the guy in front I had to jam on the brakes, I could feel the abs kicking in, luckily I stopped in time a couple of feet from his rear bumper. I hate to generalise but the Dutch are fuckin shit drivers sometimes, downright dangerous at traffic lights which are regularly ignored…Also, is it a thing nowadays to drive with front sidelights on but not the rear??….I see so many vehicles doing that, I think most of the, are probably not even aware.
Meeks, you can still have fun on non-sportsbikes….the “feeling” is different but the reality is that you go just as quick on the road.

Had to call on electric power last week when a car reversed out of his drive behind a parked car. Split second decision between braking, hitting the horn and booting it. Fucking awesome torque and acceleration swiftly avoided me getting sideswiped. I love my E Golf !!
