Any interest in this round these parts?
I hope it starts off as interesting as it appears to be.
Points of main interest for me will be Bulega (the next Bautistsa?) Toprak, potentially being the one to raise BMW's game Bautista, the beginning of the end, I see he is expressing his discontent with the weight penalty now, after saying last year that it shouldn't have that much effect IIRC.
Not sure if I'm up for predicting podiums, but if I was pushed I'd say that of 9 podium places available over the weekend we should see Bautista, Toprak, A. Lowes, and maybe Locatelli, Rea....

Hard one to call; so many changes regarding teams swapping and machinery updates/weight penalties. If Bulega lives up to his pre-season promise, we could see a proper shake up. the only place that Alex Lowes seems to shine is PI, so we could see something from him.

Odd one for wsb machines as it generally means nothing as a season marker. Some silly shit like Iannone winning could happen

Iannone is getting quite a lot of attention, I suppose rightly so, but what about Sam Lowes?
Theoretically they should be around the same level and testing seems to support that with Lowes only 0.1 sec down on Iannone.
Who will podium first? They both "should" get up their at some point in the season.

I’m hoping that Toprak does a Rossi and wins 1st time on a different bike. Looking tasty and can’t wait

I’m hoping that Toprak does a Rossi and wins 1st time on a different bike. That's a big ask. And it wouldn't be doing a Rossi anyway, because it wouldn't be back to back titles on a different bike.

I think Toprak will win but they get a slap of reality at somewhere else.
Maybe give crazy Joe or the maniac or whatever he's called now a chance of winning though. He's run in hard company before so often.

Personally I'd love to see him win at least one race this weekend, but I get the feeling he (or the bike) might not be able to go the pace for long race distance. If he wins I think it will be the SP race.

I wouldn’t write off Bautista either despite his testing results. He’s a quality act and will be adapting to his weight penalty and the handling implications that brings.

I dunno, once you get a few herniated discs, things can be a bit hit and miss. I guess most of us know what its like already!
The range of articulation I have in my left shoulder can change from one day to the next.
Although he is probably getting significantly better treatment than most of us.
I still thinbk he'll retire at the end of the season, especially if Bulega kicks his arse.

Bit of a surprise result for Friday FPs then!
Good to see Petrucci up there though. Reality check for Toprak?

Rea complaining mode already.
Lowe's goes well at PI so it's not really an indicator. Hope it's good race though. Has potential.
