The trouble with aero is it was never specifically outlawed as it was seen as something for cars until Ducati started using it. It still wasn't needed until Ducati started winning. Now in an amazingly short space of time it is essential. A real motorbike

Thing is, your "real motorbike" is just an image you have in mind because of your age and perception.
In the early 50's nobody had a fairing, they raced "real motorbikes" with no aero.
Arguably as soon as Geof Duke turned up with his top fairing which then grew to full on dustbin fairings we have had "aero", just the shape and effect has changed.
Wanna ban aero? Best get that DeLorean up to 88mph and skip back to 1951.

Anyway, on that article, WTF are Michelin playing at anyway?
They develop a tyre now in 2023 which will be available in 2025, to replace a tyre which is already 7 years old (9 years by the time they actually replace it) and they have the nerve to call it a "next generation" tyre?
Seriously? You are developing a "current generation" tyre with 5 or 6 years delay!

I think if showed someone from an earlier era the NSR500 it would still be appreciated as a thing of beauty. Like a Jaguar E-type is still a thing of beauty now. I think they would look at a modern Ducati and think it was a horrorshow.

Bikes didn't really change in the "modern" era (from 40+ years ago), aerodynamics were obviously considered but there were limitations until the new aero was developed. Now we have wings, spoilers, scoops, tail fins etc...Maybe they should go down the F1 route and have MotoGP DRS to allow for more overtakes

Instead of getting rid of rear ride height they suggested using it during races and you have 10 shots of it and then your done.
