The latest report is that was actually wearing no helmet. Even by my standards that is pretty daft in a 3 wheeler at 130mph. I can't believe the BBC health and safety let him do it.
Apparently it took 45 mins to get the ambulance to him, they had no stretchers on site and sounds like a total shitshow.
Given he's only been seen with his face covered-up so far, I'm guessing he did some sort of face grind on the tarmac and doesn't look that great.
The end result seem like the death of Top Gear. Tbh I'm not that bothered as there is some pretty good content on Youtube now and it's amazing how professional some of the amateurs have become.
